Uhhm- Thank you for the info i guess
The only meaningful info i distilled from this is that you aren't shutting down the game in the foreseeable near future and we don't need to expect any huge improvement for now (and probably not before Halloween event either)
Gonna be a long month with no halloween event, would be nice if u rolled halloween event on test server asap so players have things to do till it starts on live servers.
Better to rewrite game bottom up - after 3 months hard work on old code - with NO improvements for most players I cant see how anyone can still expect game to become realy playable again for more than a few lucky.
Until client works I do not care with Unity. As it seems after this post maybe by next Halloween we can see some improvements. But thanks to the client I still can play without getting angry after almost every click. And I do not stop playing. Thank you for the amateurs who help us to play this game until the pros are hard working behind the scenes without any visible result.
Would be nice to hire someone who knows how to program ;)

The gem shop? The GEM SHOP???? The game in it's current state and work is being done on the GEM SHOP???
Thank you for all your patience and trust.
Both those wells running pretty dry tbf.
Please don't add or change anything new. Please just fix all the known problems which came with Unity server
Completely ridiculous.
How about sorting the basics out first,
like not being able to sign in.
Uplay Not available screen.
Chats not working.
Loading time of buildings on island.
Freezing when transferring to adventures and back.
We can put up with minor bugs, but if the game is unplayable for most, what is the point.
Players that cant sign in and play the game will give up and find something else to occupy their time.
Get your priorities right or the game becomes extinct.

The gemshop well has run dry a long time ago and doesnt look like striking a motherlode anytime soon

update done on tsotesting today seems somewhat fine, thinking on fan speed on lappy and general can retreat also. Problem with general switch hasnt been tried out.

Fantastic news. We can more efficiently not buy gems to play the game. Why would anyone buy gems to play a broken game?
Shame they didn't fix loading time of game, loading time of island graphics, sending issues for explorers, sending issues for geologists, fact that generals troop contents are not displayed if/once loaded, lack of lights to indicate players are online, inability to sort guild names by type, inability to view all bar page 1 of guild list, quest book locking up so have to refresh to open it, random general selection on adventures, constant zone refreshes etc etc. Oddly I didn't see the gem shop mentioned on the bug reports re unity.
After reading that I can not be bothered to visit my island tonight and probably for a long time to come. Once again your not listening, you need a sense of urgency to keep players and your just crawling along fixing one or two things every two to three weeks. All of which should have been done before the switch, but you just don't see it, its ridiculous. How you can continue with that dribble of how your going to make the game better moving forward, you said that about Unity, and what a great future for the game it will be.... Well we are in that great future and it's not that great because you can't hold up your end it's gone backwards!
Is it April 1st already? I really don't know how else to comment this.
I guess BB switched to "completely ridicule all players that didn't left the game yet" mode.
I left already, just come back now and then in hope things are fixed. Looks like that will be a year or so away. I am sure I will have forgotten this game completely by then, sad but if you cant be bothered to make the game playable again there is no point. I cant believe you even ran the balloon event with so many issues, that just shows to me how blind or stupid or both you really are!!
and here I am, eating popcorn and enjoying people finally realizing whats going on after years of company being negligent
I don't mean to be rude Traffer, but are you a politician?
You talk but say nothing.
What has actually been fixed in the game in the 2 weeks while we were struggling to play the event, and in the 2 weeks since?
When I asked you in global if the random general switching was a priority, you assured me it was.
Yet the only thing fixed is the flipping gem shop?
BlueByte really are beyond belief - how you are still in business is a mystery.
Take the game offline, rewrite it in HTML5 and come back when you've got a product worthy of our time and money.
Go look at InnoGames (Elvenar, Forge of Empires) if you want to know what a proper browser game looks like!

I spent so many years building my island up and spending hours and dollars playing. Now, in its current state, it's a case of "meh!". But fix the gem shop, I'm sure that'll fix things. :(
Trying to understand why BB think what they tell is good news to players.
Because what I read is :
1. Since Unity version was introduced on testserver we have been working hard to make work easier for developers.
2. We will continue to work hard to make work easier for developers.
3. No improvements for players are to be expected this year.
Nice info for developers - but devastating for players :((
I expect they are now working on voice controlled AI version of bug fixing. - in 2025 they only need to say 'Fix bugs' . Then they will start making game better for players and there will maybe come a version playable for all ( on Playstation 6 ).
Try a little more there are players who are not sick of you and are trying to play, with a little more effort you will drive them away too.
You are mildly unacceptable. . .

I bet you've meant guild shop instead of gem shop! :P
Really struggling to keep our guild viable. Only 8 players made it through all of the log in changes, switch to the client and then back to Unity.
How are we supposed to build a settler community when we can't really see who is on, can't really recruit given the instability of the experience and the unreliability of the adventures/generals? The constant refreshing, graphic glitches and the need to reload constantly is absolutely awful.
How are these things not the absolute priority? There's no rationale or link to addressing existing issues. We'd understand if there was any sense of a two track improvement. Like... even if you spend only an hour a day fixing all the little things? We'd really notice and appreciate that.
the reason most of your work goes unnoticed is because YOUR NOT DOING ANYTHING THAT MAKES THE GAME WORK
tinkering with the gem shop? your sales fallen have they? we do not care about this
JUST CONCENTRAE ON MAKING THE GAME WORK then you can faff about with things we dont notice

It's funny how everything that is being complained about on this thread is everything we, YOUR CUSTOMERS, have all been complaining about since the first change from flash, but at NO point did anyone complain about the gem shop which is YOUR MONEYMAKER!!!!!!!!!!!
Will you only take notice of YOUR customers if we stop buying gems and investing OUR money in a game which, for some, is unplayable with so many bugs/glitches.
When will you start paying attention to us and fix the issues that are plaquing this game, instead of creating work which is not required just now.
FIX THE ISSUES WE HAVE WITH THE GAME JUST NOW AND DON'T RUN ANYMORE EVENTS!!!!!!!!!
Eventually you'll find that the players who have helped build this game up, will leave and start spending their money on another game.
I'm guessing your technical support department (customer complaint department) must have been shutdown after the recent relocation of the game to unity.
Really BB? Gem shop is priority? Plz come back to earth!!!

I'm grateful for your thankless efforts . I recognise that "Unity" is quite a project, especially on a limited budget. Hang tough!
Not a very informative update, and what you reveal is not really focusing on your customers' issues.
I personally would like to see a list of everything that needs fixing so that we can:-
1. Point out what's missing
2. See what progress is being made
I realise that players would have different prioirities but it is hard to imagine that the Gem shop is high on the list for your customers. There are too many fundamental flaws in terms of gameplay to focus on first otherwise you will continue to lose your customers.
Personally I would like to see the issues with General selection sorted out first followed by the tardiness of the quest menu. I believe the first of these is a BIG issue for the majority of your customers but you seem to be unwilling to acknowledge it let alone fix it.
You will not that I have used the term 'Customers' as opposed to 'Players' to make you realise that we are not just players.

Like being offered a nice cake and slapped in the face at the same time.
Gem shop - fleece the poor players who are struggling to play - not something I would have made a headline of the changes.
Making life easier for the devs - well I am a dev ( not for BB !) and these things are always necessary, but how about adding a few wins this strategy has provided so far.
Infrastructure - always a behind the scenes challenge and its nice to hear that this is being looked at.
Like all these updates they seem to give some hope but I feel lack openness.
"It has been a terrible year for the devs and they have been struggling with the challenges of moving to a new environment while keeping the game alive, and there is still a long way to go to get the game back to the way we want it."
What are the primary player focused issues being worked on, as they needs to be :
Sorting out the login so that everyone can get into the game and keep their accounts active.
Sorting out or minimising the impact the lag/delay/refresh that makes it so frustrating that even those of us who can login don't want to play.
Then let us know what little wins are occurring, so we can see it on the test server - we know the game is difficult to play now, but let us see it is getting better. Let us know what has been fixed/improved alongside the big ticket items.
Keep looking at quick wins - such as changing the layout of the loot/adventure message so we don't have to scroll to see the button, an ability to turn off the distracting popups showing explorer/geo skills when we are trying to send them all out, showing deposits that have been discovered and not built on yet.
As a player I am still here - for now - make these updates about me me me!
What are you doing for me, and if you think that some of the critical items being worked on don't improve my game play... don't headline it unless you want 20 pages of abuse in the comments.

Easier for developers will be good for players long term, it makes updates and fixes quicker to get out into the world. If I can make an educated guess I'd say most errors aren't fixed because of the current state of code right now. Too convoluted.
bb as got there priority`s right fix gem shop that not broken give them a blue peter badge for fixing the unbroken
The gem shop? Did you actually think players would like to hear this is your priority? How could you..? Why would you..? Words fail me. I think it's finally time to go, this straw has broken the camel's back. Bon voyage.

Let mi get this straight:
1. You didnt do any significant improvement during last month.
2. You will not bring any significant improvement to your community of players during next month or more.
3. You will run event regardless the state of the game.
I am not sure if you are incompetent or insane. Or both.
Last event was the worst event ever. It was pain. Physically. Mentally. All the lag, freezing, major/minor/cosmetic bugs in every single part of the game. Sure thing, event should be a challenge, but not this way.
I will be constructive and provide you 3 possible solutions to this situation:
1. Turn off the game. Yes, it is a valid option. Be fair, say you are not able to fix the game in acceptable time, tell the date of decommission and thats it. Sad but fair approach to your community of players. You will not be the first company which did this. And you will not be the last company which did this.
or
2. Focus on the game improvements. This has 1 critical condition - do not do any event until the state of game is close to state before Unity came. Do not let suffer your community during event again.
or
3. Focus on the game improvements and bring back the client app in the meantime. We all know it is still possible to use it. We know it is not allowed. This leaves majority of your community of players in despair - they know, there is better user experience but it cant be legally used.
Did I forget something? Feel free to add your points.
I will be constructive and provide you 3 possible solutions to this situation:
.
HAHAHHAHA- that was a good one
Anyway the list is one they will already have on their list of 10 possible options and variations on options. Whatever we say or do in the short run won't change their mind - we already know that from past experiences.
players have a few options- keep playing, quit, bend rules or take a break. BB most likely has already decided what they do and until a new round of decisions, they will keep to that path - Events on the whole are copy/paste last years event and tweak the rewards so that wont take much time esp not from critical devs so i bet they will keep those running whatever to at least show a semblance of a game to keep players in/patient enough

We are going to update the technology used on the gem shop.
The fact that this is your number one listed development priority speaks volumes...
Seriously - who do you think is going to spend money on the game in the current state?

Couldn't agree more. Surely get things working so people WANT to spend money. Sigh
An updated list of known/acknowledged bugs would be nice, we have no idea what they're actually working on. Most recent update on test seems to be a few UI changes. Annoying "game breakers" like the generals' dialog focus switching issue is still there. Maybe it's a difficult one to fix, but a very similar issue was already fixed back in the tsotesting2 days.

PS. I hate (G1)'s cake.
look , i dont care for the gem shop as i bought gems ages ago when it was worthwhile financially supporting the game, the last over a year and a half we have had a non pegi7 worldwide issue we arent allowed to speak about in the g1 that has made many of us lose work or income so im def not interested in spending money i dont have on a game that is not what it was in relation to usability. what i wold like to see is work being done on the gen jumping and no retreats possible issue so i would actually want to stay on the game and play some decent advs. and the other issue is it looks and feels like a ghost town with no online lights. fix them so we can see we are not alone and there are others online with us.

Same here...this video shows quite OK game experience...whatever browser I use it is much and I mean MUCH slower! I've checked CPU and GPU graphs but no problem there.
After reading that post the feedback I have is that something is seriously wrong with your priorities BB.
At this point everything possible should be done to make the game playable again. I have no more patience with BB I am afraid.
they have their priorities all right- which is to make money
They, however, have an inccorect view of their player base and think we are blind, dumb and stupid and sheep that will follow the special happy hour routine
Alas, most wont buy gems even if you did a x10 bonus event. For people to pay they need to trust you and they don;t- at least a lot i know don;t
It is simple:
1) we need to trust you are serious about running the game for years to come
2) we need to trust that you are competent to code a workable game
3) We need to trust that you actually have a grasp of what people find important in the game and focus on it
4) we need to trust that you tell the truth
5) we need to trust that BB/Ubisoft management is willing to invest in the game. Without investment it won't happen
Alas there are too many of those where the answer is "we don't trust you on this one"
So people either leave, thread water, take a break and a few will actually buy something but alas not enough to make a serious go at fixing the issues with the cashflow generated with the game.
So the question is, how long will BB finance the efforts b4 pulling the plug and is that long enough to fix enough so people will be willing to risk buying gems again
you should be an actor, Trafffer... :p tragicomedy what we're seeing here since months. can stick those gems elsewhere
Agree. Cannot believe they are running an event. All this will do is create 2 tiers of players those who can play and get the goodies ( Geo's, Explorers and Buff buildings etc) and those who no fault of their own are left behind. I said this in Global chat and got shot down. will those of us affected be compensated with the new stuff, I doubt it. the game is not fit for an event and they are pushing on regardless, absolute joke.
A core game mechanic -- selecting generals for combat and retreating them -- has been broken for two months, and there's no timeline for when it might be addressed?
Is that in real time John and is it client or Unity? Asking as I use Unity still and trust me mine is a lot slower. Must take best part of 10mins to load the island graphics.
that was all real time browser (as you can see) Edge experience.
my internet goes up and down from 60 to 400 Mb/s but not a lot is used anyway
i'll try and do a clean full screen recording if there's a need for it.
with sending explorers too.
i was covering my browser's tabs and bookmarks in there...

I also just want my greeeeeen light back. It's so hard to play without the basics even being possible.
Should i laugh or should i cry?
Words cant describe my feeling, but i fear the question i asked earlier here on forum is answered with this post from BB.
The message is to me sounds like... dont bother to come back, as we dont bother to fix this game....

"As stated in one of our earlier messages, our goal is not to keep the Settlers alive..."
I have to admit, your post is pretty well crafted, but if you reread the sentence below you might discover the secret meaning:
As stated in one of our earlier messages, our goal is not to keep the Settlers alive but to make them better than ever.
Anyway, let me clear this post a bit.
In this community update, we want to address common concerns which are usually:
1. What are we doing to fix the game?
2. What are the future plans for the game?
3. When can we expect a "fixed" game?
4. Let us know what you are doing to give us an overall picture of what is happening.
This community update focuses not on the individual issues we have (known as bugs), but on the overall situation and the future. As you can read, the upcoming updates will bring the rest of the Unity code to the game, so it will be much easier for the development team to work on the game. We really want to make improvements to the game as soon as the technical issues are resolved. We are also working on new servers to help with performance issues.
Part of the Gem Shop that some find controversial - Gamestore improvements have NO detraction from the game's development. They're handled by different people/teams altogether.
If you are following our test server, we had three updates in the last month: one for backend improvements and two updates with bug fixes - these have not yet been deployed to our Live servers. We are constantly working on bug fixes and we're doing our best, to provide them on our Live Servers, as soon as possible to make sure you all see the difference.
We know which bugs/issues are the most annoying for you, and this is where our focus is.
it's nice we're getting follow ups too, not just only once a month updates
many have a theatrical mind and can't just simply read into an Update so thanks for keeping us in the loop
As you brought it up ... 3. When can we expect a fixed game? Yes this IS important to us, so give us the answer. This month, next month three months from now, next year ....2030? And please do not insult our inteligence by giving us the `as soon as we can' answer, because BB has used up the quota on that statement simply because BB has shown multiple times in the past that it can't.
4. Let us know what you are doing to give us an overall picture of what is happening.
We are leaving the game because you broke it and are not working fast enough to repair what you broke. `three updates a month'...on test server ( which we have become sceptical of any resemblance to live anyway ) but no updates on live is not really progress to the broken live game now is it? So basically no update in a month.
As for the work on the gem shop, why did you even have to mention that? Telling us now it is another team and is not effecting the `game' team .... well yes it is. The game needs ALL available resources thrown at it in its current state if it's to survive, but No one at BB is seeing it. You won't need a functioning gem shop if you don't have a functioning game!!! For goodness sake apply some common sense.
As for the work on the gem shop, why did you even have to mention that? Telling us now it is another team and is not effecting the `game' team .... well yes it is. The game needs ALL available resources thrown at it in its current state if it's to survive,
Not really, the people programming the web interfaces will be a hinderance to the devs rather than a help so u cant lump em in there to fix it.
But it would have been better to show common sense and update the webshop interface to fix it and stay silent about the work done- No notification = no road rage from people trying to play tso on unity and a lot less stress. The fix wont impact em hugely as i doubt they ae selling tons of gems at the moment although u never know how many mad people are out there
Dear Trafffer, you are on the right path giving us knowledge what are you guys doing, but.....
Some of us, like me, don't play the test server. I don't know what is happening there, and I don't care. Now I hear there have been 3 updates on the test. That infuriates me, as nothing has happened here in the past month.
You say the gem store group doesn't hinder the development of the game. Duh, put more people in to fixing what is wrong here, since you say you know what needs to be fixed.
i really don't care how rough it has been for your coders trying to fix this. It has been rougher I bet for us trying to play the game, and not give up on it!
Last event was the first one I didn't spend any gems in the merchant. I wonder how we can get thorugh the Halloween event with these kinds os lags, zone refreshments and generals not functioning properly while doing addy.
Plz do not insult us by giving us more happy hours, use those moments to improve this game!

The gem store should have been fixed when people were actively buying gems and being denied the option to. The reason gems are not being sold now is nothing to do with a faulty gem store, its because whoever is in charge of the game is terrible at their job and just keeps making stupid decisions. Losing 80% of your player base is why the gem store is no longer selling anything.
The servers are fine too, if you run the old client then everything is responsive which points to the new client being the issue, not the servers. If upgrading the servers kills off the old client then you can probably say goodbye to another chunk of the player base. The longer the game is left in an unplayable state, the less likelihood there is of people returning, a few months and they will simply forget the game existed.
The focus needs to be on critical issues at this point.
Fix the generals so adventures can be played.
Fix the trade office and mail functionality so people can trade.
Fix the constant freezes/zone refreshes.

Some of us, like me, don't play the test server. I don't know what is happening there, and I don't care. Now I hear there have been 3 updates on the test. That infuriates me, as nothing has happened here in the past month.
Almost every update first goes to the test server for various reasons (checking for possible critical bugs, changes, etc.). When everything is successful, the update lands on the Live server. This is simply done to avoid any unexpected problems during the update. The reason I'm mentioning it is simply to make everyone realize that work is going on all the time, and just because Live Server hasn't received an update yet, that doesn't mean we're not working.
You say the gem store group doesn't hinder the development of the game. Duh, put more people in to fixing what is wrong here, since you say you know what needs to be fixed.
There are things/decisions you can't speed up with more people, you just need time to complete them.
Plz do not insult us by giving us more happy hours, use those moments to improve this game!
As I already explained, Happy Hour is scheduled in advance and is an automatic process. Every purchase is optional, as is the in-game store which is available all the time. If you don't want to spend anything, you don't have to.
And disabling the happy hour takes dev time to un automate it or adjust it as well -
It is pointless on focussing on trivialities really- they dont get stuff done faster and only frustrate you.
BB said it is automated process- just like some others - let it run and ignore it is best option - Getting it "fixed" wont speed anything up and if the "fix' hits a snag, it will only slow stuff down
Working to improve the gem shop. This just made my day. Everything else has been fixed or, at least, improved significantly.
BB made this post / "announcement" just to give the impression that it has activity ..... infact it is just spamming its own forum.
So pathetic .....

So much wrong with this update message.
Gem Shop should be shut till the game is fixed.
Gems should be given out to people who log in at all at this point simply because they want to keep the life support going on this game
Priority issues to be addressed before Gem shop is reopened
1: Load times
2: General Switching
3: General Retreating
4: Star Menu showing wrong images so you cannot tell what buff is what when visiting other peoples islands
5: I would like to be playing this game and be able to switch tabs without the game falling over
6: I would like to see if anyone is online
Basically either fix the stuff that matters to the end users or admit you are trying to get people to quit because you have no clue how to fix it and want to switch it off without the worry of people suing you for compensation for their past gem purchases due to your incompetence killing the game
i dont think they worry too much about that sueing thinghy there
1) the shop will be under french or german law- good luck with that
2) most people wont bother even starting something
3) Too expensive so u need to organize a ton of people willing to front up money to pay for a lawsuit
BB knows that too and also knows that however angry people get, the chance for suing and successfully at that are so small that they can ignore it - or worse: get people to organize start the suit and before it is running, recompense the people in the suit- all options are expensive on the sue-ers and not too bad on the company aka better than forking over the money now or drying up the trickle from gem shop
They will not shup gem shop
they will not had everyone free gems unlimited
They will plod along slowly till 1 of 2 scenarios:
a) the game gets playable and players return and buy gems
b) management decides enough is enough and pulls plug
Both scenarios will be bottomline driven on the whole - alas not forum driven
Why is it taking so long to fix this game?
Why is it taking so long to fix this game?
Not enough people and not enough money to do it faster.
Worst bugs in my opinion:
1: Extremely slow loading of map.
2: Zone refreshes, sometimes endless stream of them less than a minute apart only fix is browser refresh F5.
3: Extreme slow loading of new quests combined with even more zone refreshes.
4: Generals changing when doing adventures.
5: Slowness of most things like fx sending out explorers.

Almost every update first goes to the test server for various reasons (checking for possible critical bugs, changes, etc.). When everything is successful, the update lands on the Live server........
Sorry, but this really cracked me up, still laughing ass I type...
The use of test server to reduce bugs going to live servers ended about 6-7 years ago, maybe longer. The feedback on test was responded to by the BB of the time, the information was passed to the devs, and most of the issues on test were resolved before they came to live servers. With a change of ''management'' this system collapsed as shown, for instance, by the number of hotfixes in events - I use the term management loosely as these days I am not sure anyone manages the game, it just grinds along)
Then came the ultimate refusal to accept the feedback being given on test. You loaded Unity onto test2, we went to the time and effort of playing on it for you, gave mountains of feedback letting you know what a failure it was and then....you loaded it on live servers in the same form with exactly the same disgraceful consequences for the players. So to say ''when everything is successful the update lands on the Live servers'' is a total fabrication and distortion of the truth.
When it has loaded on test, we will run it while the update gets prepared for live- as long as test doesnt crash and burn, there are no reasons not to push content to live servers and take it from there
That seems to have been the general way it has been handled many times. Bugs reported on test (say in events) still make it to live and then needs indeed emergency maintenance. I am not saying this is 100% of times the case but too many times bugs noted on test, even when game breaking, still get copied to live.
BB's definition of successful obviously is a different one from players. Probably you have stuff on internal servers and internal bug lists that get tested and found to be fixed. But that is not the same as new bugs noticed by players. If BB is serious about the statement :

Then you really should read the feedback from players and act on the most important ones. The time between something going on test and then pushed to live is ridiculously small - by the time you collated the feedback from players, usually the maintenance is already announced/scheduled and a few days later implemented
So either say all known bugs are fixed and tested on live but if new bugs rise, they will be tackled later if needed, not imply that you take the feedback and fix stuff before releasing it. It simply isn't true in most of the cases. Be more precise in communications or don;t be surprised that people lash out
i had a bit of time and made a quick (30min) video feedback. I've used FreeCam
anyone has it better/worse then i do? (https://youtu.be/hAxByG7U24c)
My god i wish my game loaded as fast as yours! You don't realise how lucky you are lol

The nature of the bugs reported by players make it obvious theres no internal testing going on.
Its humanly impossible to be employed and getting paid any kind of money as a QA and not notice glarigly obvious bugs players find within the first hour.
Who said they don;t notice em?
I am pretty certain they get noticed and then ignored or overruled by management
I laughed so hard a little bit of wee came out :o
so why does the update come?

Stop lying.... i talked to you as late as a week before first launch of unity, and you selves told me that all the worries of the tsotesting2 server was just cause it didn't have enough power and all this would change on launch.... well story was in no way that and we all know how it has been running since this...
So when are you going to tell the real story and not a bunch of lies......
And you sat in chat and told us that the client wouldn't work after the convert and look... somebody made it work... but again we was lied to and told this was not possible....
So it comes down to who forced these decision is not part of the community, but someone higher that doesn't play the game or listen to the players (and maybe some devs that didn't want to push the update) cause of all the worries or bugs....
Have those numbers been substantiated? Our build went from 30-40 players to 8 reliably being on. It's been awful and is certainly unsustainable.

The game is still unplayable for me.. takes 10 to 15 mins to load my island... then long delays between clicks on doing any tasks..
I started off logging in once every day to see if things were improving.. then just a couple of times a week when nothing was..
I have now found another game, and No.. it isnt as good as TSO was.. and the community and social aspect isnt as good... but it is similar.. and very playable.
For a while at least I will continue to check back a couple of times a month.. but feel as I get more involved in my new game... this will decrease and finally stop altogether and I will just have to give up TSO as a bad job... I have invested a lot of my time over the last 8 years on TSO.. and will give it away reluctantly, but give it away I will if things do not improve..

Don't worry my friend. They are fixing the GEM SHOP!
Essential improvement, gem shop - Cant have people complaining they can't spent their money on the game - Imagine that - throwing away perfectly good money like that

The Gem shop is an important source of revenue to Ubisoft.
HIT THEM where it hurts.I urge all settlers not to use the Gem Shop until problems with the Unity version are solved.

can't find info on PVP issues, completed Pvp Level 10 and CANNOT upgrade Water Castle. Is this a known Bug, or am I the unlucky one ?
I don't think you read our feedback, but I leave a suggestion:
Since you're using Unity now, why don't you release an Android / Iphone version for our smartphone? I really look forward to play my game on my smartphone maybe when i am on Train or Subway and so on.

it is a unity problem and pvp is not on current fix list as they have bigger fish to fry. It works in old client though AFAIK

If they released a Unity version on Android you might just be logged in by the time the trip from Euston to Paris ends.

It might be possible to play on mobile devices, but this is not officially supported by us right now. We are currently fully focused on solving technical issues.
fix the ability to see whos online as you want us to trade in quests but have no idea who is available

Having just logged in to the game for the first time in about a month I notice that nothing has changed. Loading times are still glacial and there’s absolutely no point even trying to play the game when it’s like this so I logged straight back out. No different to last time I tried. The game is still unplayable and I’ve got better things to do with my time.
When nothing has changed since the last time I logged on I feel less and less inclined to try again and leave it longer each time. I may try again in the new year but if nothing is working by then there will no longer be any point in bothering. After all this time I really doubt anything is going to get fixed. I came to TSO because of nostalgia for the original game but now all I see is an online game that is p!ss-poor and pointless.

Perhaps you could tell us which game this is that you've found. If this other game is playable then maybe TSO players might wish to migrate to it which would undoubtedly improve its community/social aspect and give us a workable game to play unlike this one. Despite the BS B_B is coming out with I don't see any future for TSO, this rubbish has been dragging on for far too long and I have no faith that anything is going to be fixed.

I am afraid you are right . . It takes to long already to fix the game . . For some
reason BB doesn't see the rush to fix the game . .
For me the game is also becoming a bigger annoyance . . It's almost impossible
to get in and is slow and very laggy when u do. I also have invested a lot of my
time on TSO over the last 8 years , but the fun is gone . .
TSO is RIP . .
I was ok with the unity update, I didn't do much in the game after that update but only keeping my island running and after the last update I cannot move to an adventure... I am getting an error https://prnt.sc/1wzgnps
" an error occurred running the Unity content on this page. See your browser JavaScript console for more info. The error was: Uncaught RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded."
cleared memory restart tried chrome explorer mozila all browsers give me the same error... and we start an event that you need to run adventures on Monday.
Great update.
I gave up playing the game regularly about a year ago. Now I just log in occasionally to check if anything has been fixed, find that it is still virtually unplayable, and log out for another month or two. It is incredible, there was plenty of time to do the changeover properly, how much notice was given that Flash support was ending? 2 years I think, but the decisions were put off until the last minute. In most companies, the manager responsible for that decision would still be looking for another job after being sacked with a politically correct "neutral" reference.

Horrific approach by bb/ubi whoever
Last hotfix after halloween event started should fix the love tree, and it did kind of, it worked once and now it's broken again.. Nice fix, we can expect stuff to work one time when fixed then it breaks and we have to wait for another fix
