Anyone else having trouble logging into TSO Northisle, got logged off earlier, i then couldnt access TSO site at all, now i can access site,but when i log in, loading goes throgh the brown loading bar, then onto other loading screen, but after that it comes up that there is connection problem. ive checked my end and all seems to be fine.

Same. Ping shows the server is unreachable. Have raised a ticket with Ubisoft. Also spoke to i3d.net support (their network has the game servers) who can ping the server ok. Bit of an odd one.

So not only me then. Got as far as a hammerman when game done loading. Which is an improvement over not able to connect to any server at all. So progress I guess. Maybe 3rd time is the charm.

now finally able to connect to homepage and forum.
BB_Trafffer what a sh!tgame you have under your management.
about every way i could tell how worse your game is and all supports i could reach i have sent to.
Happy game on your own trafffer, im out.

yup me too, in Safari, I get as far as the man with the hammer (what ever happened to the Christmas splash opening screen) Anyways.... when using Chrome, I get as far as the game map framework, then a man bashing away at the server

This is also typical BB - would not take 5 minutes to create a quick post for the homepage - we are having some issues with the servers and will keep you posted, rather than going all quiet again. Does no one working around this game have any common sense, or at least some pride in the game - say there is a problem , say it is being looked at, say sorry for the current issues, and that they will do another post when more information becomes available. But no - its the treat people like shit again and say nothing. Well Done :(

They don't have people working off-Europe hours. Except support people in India I suspect, who only work off-Europe hours. Neither who have much to do with either it seems. Just to make things interesting.

So this is BB's final nail in the coffin. Total breakdown in the middle of an event with no support? This is a fine example of how you take the most popular strategic game, and destroys it because they made it to complicated for new players to into. Instead of coming clean and end the game, they just make it almost impossible to play. And if it is right what Snowblizz is saying, no support but India, they really show that this game doesn't matter to them.....Sad

When I could not reach both server and forums as they were down I started to think that they finally pulled the plug, end of the year, and Trafffer just came to give us nostalgic last look on global ...... lol

But now I'm back in. Was away having dinner through the breakdown :)

I posted about this under the workaround client thread... was ikay logged into Ares and couldnt get on to northisle no log in pages. the log in pages came back I logged out ares and trie logging in here. At that point couldnt get into Northisle or Ares via Unity or client. The Ares client came back (prob an hour ago) and shortly after unity loaded, but couldnt get into northisle by either, still cant...

I would not necessarily argue that BB do not stuff up, but even if you stuff up all the time you can be hit by unexpected glitches you are not responsible for and given this seems to have been server wide and subsequently sorted for some servers I would not assume that this instance as entirely at BBs door. even when the game was running relatively smoothly things happened. That it hasn't been sorted for us here is annoying but for once to quote someone much wiser and smaller than myself "patience you must have".

ofc it could just be my guildmates fed up with my christmas quizzes that have sabotaged the server. Sorry everyone, mea culpa.

I was on earlier but the game booted me and then I couldn't get settlers page to load at all. Now I can log in but game comes up with connection to server is lost every time my game tries to load.

How fortunate that there is a happy hour running, so you can buy gems to replace the presents lost because you can't send out explorers. That Ubisoft, always thinking of the players.

Let's see now. They have managed to get US servers up and running, so we know they are aware of the problem and have a solution that has worked. So of course, home page has an alert to let us know what's going on and give an estimate of the time to get things going worldwide, right? hahahahahahahaha of course not.

just adding my voice to the list - can't load the game, sometimes it almost loads but keep getting hammer man - a few more hours from now before they're awake in Germany so I guess I'll try again when it's morning here in Canada - have another glass of eggnog and good night :)

I was able to stay logged in until now. Saw on global that the servers were down and if you wanted to stay in you couldnot log out or else you wouldnot be able to get back in. All was working fine except for the mail, everytime I tried to open it (e.g. when explorers came back) I got the pop-up 'connection to the server has failed'. I only had to wait for a while though and the game would continue as normal. I loggd out just now just to see if things were oke and fixed by now but no, it is as said: I couoldnot get back in. The game seems to load, but when the blue screen comes up, you almost immediately get 'connection ... failed'. I play using the old client, not the new one, and I am mostly satisfied. Hopefully this post has been somewhat helpfull.

Can't get Northisle to load.
Starts a slow loading splash screen, then the man with the hammer appears saying "connection to server lost".
Can see the generic avatar behind, and an empty box tothe right of screen, about the same size as an adventure window.
Game then crashes out to a white page with "Http/1.1 Service Unavailable".
Address bar by then has changed to "wo2bb01" , so pretty obvious which of your servers has broken. :(

Just came from a successful Newfoundland session, which although playing up badly with zone refreshes and laggy response, so it's not like the last time where your dodgy maintenance killed all 5 servers for me, so looks like server-side problem, not my browser or account.
FYI,playing the Unity version, not client. If I get time, might try the mobile phone client just to maintain integrity of login bonus and calendar sequence, even if that works, too small a screen to be playable.

Got kicked off the game last night and unable to get back on. Tried again this morning, goes straight to hammer man, shows a different avatar in the background with no resources at all. Working all day today so even if it does come back up, no presents for me as not able to get explorers out. I know technology can glitch sometimes but this is taking the mickey now

Update, just tried Northisle using client version on mobile phone, loading splash screen was faster but still ended up with the man with the hammer. So server is unavailable via Unity and client. :(

BB really are quite shit at sorting things out. They had plenty of time to prepare for this well before Flash died, and that was a year ago. I didn't think they could get any worse but they've proved me wrong.

Not being able login means we miss at least a day on the event calendar and all that entails.

I'm sending out 53 explorers once or twice a day and expect to gather c1800 presents a day, something I know BB won't compensate me for. Even if we do get compensated it will be with something paltry and pointless like half a dozen herbs or another useless buff that only makes sense if you're still on level 2.

I haven't bothered raising a ticket as that's also a complete waste of time.

I am more and more convinced that BB are two 11-year-old schoolboys who work on the coding when they get home from school, after doing their homework and before going to bed. Nothing's going to happen during the Christmas holidays until after they've gone back to school.

It is how the problem presents to me and some others. Your problem seems to present as more of a cache issue - perhaps once that is resolved, then you will hit the same problem I get.

According to reports, a lot of their most experienced devs for their biggest games have reportedly left. I would think that would have a knock on effect on other games as devs are moved around to shore up gaps. But that is just a guess on my part. We don't get much information as players.

I think that it is a case of pull an nswer out of a hat at the moment to every question. All that can be guaranteed is that the issue may or may not be fixed at some stage between now and the end of days.

can any worlds log in at all, or is the whole thing broken?

I can log in, but game is pretty much unplayable. Loading everything takes forever, hammar man all the time etc..

Managed to login to Newfoundland with no issues. Sandycove was slow to load but got there. Northisle gives hammerman whatever I try. Can login to German, French and US servers with no issue. No accounts on other servers to try them but seems issue is whatever servers Northisle.

I was on Sandycove after black out yesterday evening, and then ok again this morning, but now I can't get in .... lol

It keeps hanging on that pop up window when you enter the island.

Got there after loooooong wait.

Yes, it is a global issue, other instances also have connection/loading problems. The technical team was informed yesterday and is working on the situation.

So in 30 mins I will not have been logged in for 24 hours.. Traffer would it be too much to ask someone actually writes something on the front page rather than people having to go to the forum or raise another pointless support ticket?!

I dare not do the math for the number of presents that I will miss out on assuming I can log in tomorrow morning when I wake up!

Same, cannot get past loading to see any interface. this event is now a wipeout for my inablity to get any play in the game.

Total twaddle. I have logged onto my German account, French account, US account, and my other two EU worlds, the only world totally down is Northisle, all we get is the hammerman

I just started play that game. Why they offered use Northisle when it's overloaded or have many problems? Just sad, I had a few weeks... And not a word about that what is happening on the main page? I'm very confused!?

i just tried log-in again on client and unity with no luck on either , and this is my only account , so i guess Christmas event is over , I'm not using gems to open doors and certainly not buying any , with no news from BB makes its feel like they just really don't care about its players , all i have to say is ,, go shove this where the sun does not shine blue byte , will never purchase anything with your logo attached to it , no support is just rude and insulting and you have lost a long time supporter and will always bad mouth your brand , completely useless humans

I know everyone on Northisle is frustrated, as am I, but I really appreciate BB_Trafffer and the team working to fix this and communicate with us.

Event like this are unexpected and are not easy to resource, especially over the festive period.

Sadly that seems to be how UBISOFT/BlueByte prefer to operate. If they are doing any planning, nothing is ever shared. Perhaps they are a little shy about keeping us informed as the last vague thing they published which resembled a timeline was when they gave us a roadmap of moving to Unity late last year (2020) which painted the picture we'd all be on a fully functional Unity BEFORE Easter (2021)....

TSO was a great game under Flash, but I think as the Flash devs disappeared, the problems increased and the game already had various bits broken (such as the guild vote) before the conversion which started years too late. The diehard players are all hoping that BB can pull a rabbit out of a hat and amaze us all, but so far, it seems they are still looking for the hat!

In my humble opinion, BlueByte was really good until the Ubisoft takeover, then it seems all went downhill.... Oh my poor miners (at level 6) with no buffs and probably running out of deposits - thats my biggest concern, not the presents.

All worlds have problems with Unity. But it looks like Northisle has been hit even harder by the problem that arose Wednesday night.

If this had happened last year I would have agreed - but judging by what has come from BB over the last year - I think it more probable that they are busy preparing for their new year celebration. Did not even have enough time to inform players by writing a note on login page, about the problems. Only here in thread the usual 'We are aware of the problem and looking into it - dont know when/if it will be fixed'

Saw some of the servers are coming back online, but Northisle is not one of them. It is just spamming authentication failures when I put a sniffer on it.
What ever stunt they tried to pull yesterday afternoon took the whole platform down, and of course nothing on the home page or ay official posts on the English forums even saying they are aware of a problem and are working on it.

This looks like a server script/CORS header problem to me. If so, maybe an hour's work to fix and test? Hard to believe this has been worked on since yesterday and still no fix. More likely it was reported yesterday but no-one with the right skills and permissions is available as they/he/she are on Christmas break.

Maybe whoever messed up Northisle messed a few other things up too as last evening the server was completely down then it started responding but failed to redirect.

Unless a code change has been made, then this is not the issue? BB hasn't mentioned any code changes.
