View Full Version : Adventure Bookbinder Timer Wrong

I have 2 Adv. BB so production time for 1 codex should be 48 hours.

It's taking a lot longer than that - I checked it yesterday evening and it had 21 hours to run so it should have finished around 14:00 today.

At 14:00 I've checked it and it still had over 10 hours to run.

I'm not sure exactly how long it is taking but when this one has finished I'll time it properly.

Also on Unity when I mouse over the timer bar it says something stupid like time remaining 1920 days 22 hours!

It's probably the same bug which broke a lot of buff buildings in the Halloween update, no idea when they will bother to fix it, it should have been sorted by the Christmas update, but all we get these days are invisible "performance fixes".

A selection of threads in bug section, there are more in other parts of the forums as well :P

None of those links refer to the Adventure Bookbinder.

You're generalising, I'm being specific.

What has been mentioned in chats is irrelevant as it's there for 10 minutes and then gone.

Also as there is no control of the forums in general, people post their complaints all over the place - there must be 10 topics where people post bugs so the detail gets lost.

So, if you don't mind, I'm reporting a bug (in the bug reporting forum) with (specifically) the Adventure Bookbinder, for the attention of the BB devs, for their information.

If you are finding reading the forums tedious, you could always stop.

Further input from yourself is not required.

The bug is in the system that counts duplicates so it affects all building types that use it, including cultural like love tree, scout post and provisional ones like adv bookbinder, blacktrees, smokehouse. BB has acknowledged the bug almost 3 months ago and there is also a detailed explanation at the German forums that is over 2 months old.

At our forum there is little to no moderation to merge topics of same issue but instead left alone or locked so it's a mess to find info and more duplicates just keep appearing. Germans have one thread per issue and also marked with issue id's.

this forum never had a good tracking system, in the past some players went and tried, both for bugs and for guides but it is kinda impossible to manage in the long run esp with only the standard tools available - so it all bogged down and stopped eventually

Still, a lot of these bugs are well known and 1 question in general chat will get you the answer if it is a known issue or not

It would be informative if we had a bug list, people could check, and even better if there was some indication of weather or not this is something BB plan on fixing - or should I say "is trying to fix" - of if this is just something they are "Looking into" .

It is kind of condescending to be told that "this is a known issue" and nothing else when people report an issue to support. It does not really help the person who wrote the ticket or report in any way. And honestly - it is getting harder and harder to even bother to report anything at all, as we don't get any feedback on all our feedback besides now and then the "it is a known issue" and "we are looking into that".

This is not something that happened overnight, it has been this way for years now. Still not used to it? Give it a little more time then.
