HTTP Error 500

When visiting any of the following URL's I am greeted with the browser error

HTTP Error 500

I am based in the UK, If I use a VPN to another country then I can access the site.

If I visit the following URL after logging in via Uplay

https://www.thesettlersonline.com/uplaylogin

I receive a grey screen.

This is not client related. Any client that uses my UK IP is unable to reach the above game URL's (doesnt ask me to login / show any graphics)

I have spoken to at least four other players who experience this issue and as my account was migrated to Ubisoft, I wasnt able to login nativly to the forums to post.

This seems to have been a problem since 1600 GMT on 04/02/22.

Here also the 500 problem. Can't get to the home page on the UK servers, test server and also not the Dutch server where i sometimes go to.
Thru Opera with vpn i managed to get into my UK account.

It has happened in the past at least twice that i can remember, AFAIK it has to do with the server farm management - not this sinister :P

i live in uk and using 3 for internet. no issues here

try it with your phone's hotspot, see if that'll work :)

working when i use opera gx , enable built in vpn , with exit into germany.

this has to be a server that is misconfigured and front facing for many uk isps

Servers where down for me in Norway from Friday all though the weekend until now. Same 500 internal server error. Forum was up, but was not able to log in.

I finally managed to login today after two days of trial. The HTTP ERROR 500 costed me a weekly reward and a quest and compensation should be provided

So it was more than 1, it wasn't restricted to just one ISP.

Then i suggest you submit a ticket to support as this wasnt a server outage that hit all players so general comnpensation would normally not provided.

Do not worry if they don;t react positively the first time, it is that they do not understand your request soi you might need to explain it to em in different words a few times

The response I got on Twitter was that my reporting of the 500 error was unique and needed my isp to see if they could narrow down the problem

Correct. We collected information from all affected players in order to fix it. Most of the players did not experience this connection issue.
