If they do, I hope they re-open the Easter merchant options for a short while again.
Looking forward to the changelog improvements regardless. :)
PS: pity they had to extend the scheduled downtime.

no hope in hell.
this maintenance already ran the egg to gold conversion scripts so even with a shop active, there would be no eggs to buy stuff with
very little apart from one line regarding the crash when battle lasts more than 7 rounds , will actually improve gaming experience.
I am more interested in seeing what else the fixes breaks
i just hope that the gazzillion little tweaks amount to meaningful improvements that together are good enough- up till now that hasnt been the case but to be honest- it is better than it has been but still not nearly slick enough. It still takes at least 50% more time to send out explorers on a fast rig, a lot more on a slower one - which amounts to serious time at the higher level of the game when you have 100+ explorers
Why no fix still to the guild market? Its been broken for a long time and we still get pointless daily guild quests!
It can't be that hard to fix?
Solve a list of problems and funnily enough another pops up. Not quite sure if this is a one off fresh login glitch, but it seems i can place my generals on top of,or in rocks and large buildings, dark castles, etc. There are extra landing spots around buildings to,where there were none before,so maybe a good thing. Is it something that has recently been added,as i took a 3 year break from the game for personal reasons?
Thanks.
P.s. Just turned my dark castles into Dracul's castles by moving them in,you can still see the blue marker.Least they're home where they should be.
I take it back, not a problem for me.I just placed 5 arabian residences,2 large gift giving xmas trees and 2 gingerbread storage in or next to rocks,so all good, haha.
Please don't fix it,i just added a lot of extra storage and population to my island into rocks and tiny spaces, but it's all good,i'm happy. Thankyou.

Update 18.05.2022
Dear settlers,
https://ubistatic-a.akamaihd.net/0034/archive/Website_ger/News/NPC_General.png
the current game version has an issue that affects blocking in the game. Among other effects, this makes it possible to place buildings and generals on top of each other and on mountains.
Please do not take advantage of these features. Do not place buildings inside each other and do not place generals in mountains, as these activities can trigger so-called "Locked Zones". This means that your island would be inaccessible for a longer period of time.
A hotfix is already planned and we will share the dates of the hotfix maintenance with you later.
With best regards

It would appear collectibles can also spawn on mountains/buildings - will this also cause a Locked Zone?
please BB Trafffer a new commuity update : (
is this update a BB joke ?
Interesting - do generals returning from an adv deposit themselves inside a mountain. If that leads to a 'Locked Zone' how do we resolve it?

To much of a difficulty to send out a mailbox message warning players about this ?? Its fast becomng farcical and unplayable. No attempt to sort pvp out either i notice.
Appreciate the fixes... but something new I've noticed since the update... I have a few buildings on my island that are sleeping that I did not put to sleep and I cannot un-sleep them. One of them was a silo, and it caused two of my farms to run out overnight. I can buff other buildings to make sure production is ok but... it ain't great.

Did none of these issues show up on test? If nit test serves no purpose anymore?

Dear Settlers, https://ubistatic-a.akamaihd.net/0034/archive/Website_ger/News/NPC_General.png
In the current game version, the problem concerning blocking in the game has been fixed.
This hotfix maintenance has restored the blocking so that buildings can no longer be placed on top of each other. However, it has not fixed buildings that are already on top of each other. You may still experience overlap in the game and we ask that you manually move buildings and generals apart. If you do not do this, you may still experience problems (locked zone, sleeping buildings, etc.).

Sigh, in addition to my legitimate feedback which has vanished from this thread, may I say that the new italicized font in the mailbox is hideous and hurts the eyes very quickly.
Wasn't broken so why "fix" it and make it worse?
Will you update the old client, as well ? Currently we cannot use the old client because the last update for it is not available. I will not play on unity, because it's too difficult. At least let us know if you will update the old client.

LOL
The client is deemed illegal software and not supported so asking em to support it won't get you very far

We didn't delete any posts in this thread, I also don't see your post in this thread before. I forwarded the "font" difference to our Dev Team for review.

Using the "old client" is against our TOS, and you use it at your own risk. We are not supporting it.
please please please get rid of the new font in the mail box - I am also finding it really bad for my eyes

Im not removing anything you should have been quicker with your warning about what happened by the time I found out what was going on Id placed 60 building and started on updates - all seem quite legitimately placed to me. Of course if the game locks I'll simply go and find something else to do. I f you want to remove go ahead provided reparations are provided for materials used. If more land to settle was made more readily available so the game lived up to its 'settlers' brand name then there wouldn't be any need for long term players to so quickly use up any new space which become seemingly available.

Incidentally when is something going to be done to restore the playability of the pvp expeditions.

I didn't say it had been deleted, vBulletin has always had some odd "quirks" where it can enter a post twice, or appear not to have accepted a post but that then appears later, after we've re-posted it, hence your apparent problem with "double posts".
Your comments re the client are extremely disappointing. Due to security clashes, I cannot use the "unofficial" client on this computer, but if I could I most certainly would.
Unity is still no better than it was when we had it on test server, that's about 18 months now and my friend list has had more players go inactive in that period than in the entire 10 years the game has been running.
The client, in its official or unofficial forms has been the saving grace that has kept this game just about playable, myself and others are having to hack browser configurations, assign ridiculous amounts of disk space as cache and trying many other options just to get minor improvements to playability, some of hich have since been "nobbled" by your good selves, like vpn and using private browser screens. Are Ubi so desperate to use cookies that they'd rather see us give up the game ?
There should be an official client until you finally make Unity playable, or abandon it for a better solution. Innogames converted Forge of Empires "on the fly" from Flash to HTML5, and apart from a couple of awkward bugs that weren't game killers, pretty much did it within a year with the game remaining live and playable.
