my guess is that the polenesian masks look spooky to BB developers and they contemplated using the tiki house at haloween but brushed it off for this event

Glad its back up and running by 1530 today. No, wait - 1830. No, wait - wait - 1930.
-Enough.
1830 or 1930 doesnt really make much of a difference anymore- schedules are already messed up and time lost - we will see how they will approach it down the line

Make sure it works. No need to stress. Worst case, we will lose 1 day of login. Take your time. Do not stress. Keep good job up. Important thing is, the player experience should be same or better. That's important. Too many players quit over this issue, not over missing 1 day's login, but I think you know that already. Less of those java errors (if you are developer of this application...) in browser the better.

This is crap, every bl**** time there is an event 3 mins later you get kicked out then when you try and sign in....BANG!! ....theres a so called "HOT FIX" ....come on BB get your Bl**** act together....you cant even make your mind when it will be done....tell me whats the point in playing this bloody game that you have ruined.....Come on I'm inviting a BB member to answer these questions without the Bullsh** ......Do you really expect players to stay with you when all you dish out is crap......I've lost 90% of this clan and its all because of you pathetic excuses on fixing this game....That was once great.....Nice job you idiots

We gave up, a long time ago.
more likely we became used to it and it is pointless going all out on forums (which are pretty quiet anyway lately, just one or two diehards posting a lot [stop looking at me] and other than that it is tumbleweeds time
I got back to Facebook after some years blissfully away, the TSO sites there are not working either. I ought not been supprised..
We gave up.

Would be nice if every explorers sent this morning who shall be back soon has some stuff with them since we didnt had the option to login when back from work. And time seems off also suddenly with 1 hour.

the Dev's are in Kindergarten till then and need a note from their Mum if they have to start early

Well come on what else did you expect....they cannot even reply to my last msg....now there saying this bloody game wont be available till tomorrow....how much more crap have we got to put up with ......I'm playing another game at the moment and whenever something goes wrong or someone complains about something it is deal with the next day, or even quicker ....so tell me BB if they can react so quickly to a problem why cant you....and is'nt it about time you showed some interest in this gam like other players and answer some of the questions........and peeps stop licking upto them as we will never get anything fixed, as they will think they are doing a good job....sorry for the rant but played this from the start and really hate for it to go down into the pits....which it is, if your honest....so lets stand together on this or it will just get worse....what you say????

Probably because most of the players on the North American servers weren't up yet when the event started and, unlike a lot of the folks here, didn't get a chance to nab the freebies. I play on both servers and haven't had a chance to log in yet, as the event started at 2 am for me. By the time I was up, it was already shut down for the maintenance that keeps getting extended.
I hope we will get our pfb's extended as well as premium time. Of course, this long maintenance means the time spent sending explorers to have them return at a certain time was all wasted.
And, to top it all off, I understand there still isn't a Canadian flag in the event! That is such a bummer. I've been wanting my maple leaf flag for years, the team finally qualifies, and ... still no flag. :(

So, I got to login for 15 mins before game was taken down again - none of my explorers have been sent out yet, no football or colies, and another event overshadowed by "fix the issues"
Just for once could BB activate the same event we had last year, no new content, just stuff that worked....
Never mind - finding lots of other online games to play that never seem to be "fix the issues" all the time - another nail in the settlers coffin.

I will take a bet that tomorrow morning they tell us it will take longer because they forgot to stop the scheduled server/database backup and it fought with the scheduled task they left running overnight, both tasks fitting to lock files while doing their job, and hence nothing got done on time.

You guys have to know that BB writing for each event game from the scratch. Thats the reason why its so buggy. Test server is for their childrens who are sitting at their offices to be closer to parents 24/7.

Can those of us who were unable to login at before the maintenance be ensured that the door from 20th will open and can you leave the items that cost a fish available for a fish so all players can get them at that price rather than a lucky few?

Your previous post was a lot more optimistic. We cannot play, so we can entertain ourselves shopping :)
I personally can't really complain much. I wished for an easy first gaming day with not much rush, and my wish was granted. :)

The problem is that they cut n paste large chunks of the previous year's event, including the bugs. If you read previous feedback blog, the players have been expecting this to happen. :(
The Happy Hour popping up after is a particularly cruel twist, "we've broken your game again but please do send us money".

yup i had sent luckies and other quick quick explorers out on short searches when event started { 6pm aussies east coast time } to then send them out for the prolongued when they got back ( worked out well for timing) and what happened downtime so they have sat there idle for near 20 hours now that they would have been out on the prolonged and be about home now with the best returns !
edit : says i posted this at 0746, east coast aust time its actually 1646 when first posted. a whole evening and then day lost from the event for us aussies .

yes, they stated that yesterday alkready that it will be down till around 11 or so today

As you know, the summer event didn't start as anyone wanted - with the beginning of the event, we had a serious issue that needed to be solved as soon as possible, which resulted in a long maintenance. We are fully aware of the consequences it caused. We apologize for this and I will keep you updated - more news soon.

Will you also be ensuring that either the packs bought for a fish instead of gems are removed from those players who happened to get ''lucky'' or allow those who did not get them for a fish to also have them for a fish?
seems they got removed if you still had em in star but not if u placed the items on island (or mailed em i presume )
so a bit uneven handed as usual

the big issue was only for you -- it worked fine for me/most of us(hope that is correct)
now the server is shout
and it took ~26 minutes to load and that is mostly because of the over 240 times the server tries to connect the chat

Quick update:
There will be compensation for the recent issues tomorrow - we will also extend the summer event by 2 days.
We want to apologise once again for the recent unexpected downtimes.
please please please, Don;t add any geologists to any package, cant delete those pesky toons

Get the grip, stop freaking events and make core bug free, then restart them.

I can't find my practice match scenario, i started it before the server went down and now I am back it is not going and not in my inventory

Me too - lost my live practive match, and it's not on my star menu so I can't restart it
New buildings sound nice ... but so far since hotfix I haven´t been able to login

Same goes for the Finnish flag. Finland qualified for the WC last year, but no flag back then, and no flag this year...
well that was to be expected, on the whole the events are copy/paste and flag discussions are endless so they think it is best to keep em as is

not a hotfix. this was a scheduled maintenance according to bb! dont think much of their schedules personally
well now i can see why unity is taking so long. dev team busy creating awesome buildings like the grand field hospital. thank goodness this isnt being forced on me and i have to keep seeing it clogging up my star menu :)

Unable to play the practice match. Had started it but it's now no longer available. I did get sent another one, because of the server issue, which is now in my star menu but it can't be started.

It happened exactly the same thing with me. I've started the Practice Match yesterday and today it simply vanished from the quest menu as if I'd finish it. They seem to have sent a new one but I can't start it because I haven't finished the first one. This is absolutely pathetic.
usually it is when the adventure is actiuve but only shows in the quest menu (tick mark got switched off by the game in the crash) . If not, try starting another adventure and then the second practice match

Since writing this post I logged off then logged back in again. Lo and behold the practice match reappeared in my quest menu. I was able to do a bit more but not complete it. I logged in today and again it was missing. Logged out, logged back in and there it was. Managed to complete it this time.
Why is this happening BB? Why is it you cannot sort out simple stuff like this? It's not as if this football event has never taken place before. Everything about this game over the last few years has been piss-poor.

It wasn't anything to do with the tick mark, the adventure had actually disappeared from the quest menu.
I had already tried starting another adventure, it wouldn't allow me to.
yea thats annoying, stealth adventures - hopefully it fades on the 15-20 min logout and else on the lapsed gametime for the adventure- as support usually is not very fast
Big thank you to BB for fixing Unity.
Took me only 7 min to log in ( time to make tea ) and everything else are just working fine.
Smoothest event I'm playing in long time ...
Don,t know if it,s new laptop or Windows 11..but something works well

I had exactly the same issue. Try logging in again and looking again in your quest menu.
I wonder if there will actually be someone that buys the highly priced industrial mines bundle, feedback was there for it and other stuff, but as usually they ignore the feedback :D

Yep, that's what I had. Logging out then logging back in made it return to the quest menu list on the left. I was then able to go back to the adventure at the same point that I had left it.

unlimited 1x1 storage towers are the obvious go to
I like storage towers AND fully upgraded they are very pretty.
