Same here, was buffing a friend around 3:30am when the clang of the "cannot connect to server" popup appeared, but it refused to refresh and game seemed to be continuing in the background.
After refreshing several times, got a corrupted screen with the default avatar and loads of error messages embedded inavatar section and here friend list should be.
tried deleting cache and getting rid of Unity cache, briefly got the crossed hammers like when maintenance takes the server down, and since then can only get the loading bar to about 90% loading, this is on all servers and a different browser.

same - stops at 90% at 2nd loading screen (the one with the image) in Firefox. Chrome, Opera and Edge still show debug error on 1st loading bar

I don't imagine so, there would be a public announcement if there was maintenance. I think it's more like a bug, or hardware down somewhere.

I have the same problem with Brave and firefox but it works with chrome without any problem.
I can log in but I'm not able to play. It stays with "loading screen".

I have problems for a few days too. I receive always after loading the game:
Connection issue
Connection to the server has been lost. Please wait while we try to resolve this issue.

I tried with Chrome (Version 106.0.5249.119 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)) and with Firefox (106.0.1 (64-Bit)).
Last week I was able to play without any problems... I dont think that something on my PC changed.

From what I see, you are not using the website to play the game, but some 3rd party unsupported client, which is against our TOS.

Please launch & play the game through our website.

My game won't loading too,My game just stucks on 90% of loading process.I tried with at least 5 different web browsers with different PC as well but same issue ongoing.

Game is loading but keep getting "UPlay is not available" popup over the game screen, which boots you back to homepage. Game appears to be working normally in the background, but can't touch it while this stupid popup keeps intruding. No login problems before the maintenance.

I'm not using any "3rd party software", the unofficial client won't run on this comp.
After wasting 7 hours last night, where I was only once able to get into 1 server, spent a frantic couple of hours tonight trying to salvage login bonuses as the UPlay popup is no longer making it impossible.
Now starting new event almost a day late and getting explorers and buff schedules back into line after losing their benefit for a day.

My message was addressed to Harlequin_1963 & lordloocan. It's an overall warning to anyone with a similar error.

If you experience Uplay issues, please reach out to Ubisoft Support.

I realize that you have the mentioned error message when trying to use our official way of playing - no doubt about it. However, this error comes from using unsupported third-party software - the so-called "client".

Have you not used it since it was officially withdrawn by us?
