my biggest worry and hence question is:
Seeing the rewards are similar to last years for generals end explorers... Are the hardcoded limits for these generals and explorers adjusted to reflect the new rewards in it or are we as older players condemed to play an event where half the good rewards are locked out to us because of these limits?
This is not testable for players so only BB can make sure it works before pushing it to live. A similar post on test has had no reaction from BB yet so it would be appreciated to know if limits are to be reviewed or if you decide to punish the old guard yet again in an event

I think that is uppermost on most players minds.
No point in doing the event, if you get all you can get in 5 days.

and no- that is not in the books for me . If i start anew it wont be in TSO but it would be another game in even another genre if it appeals. BB has had plenty of chances to improve on this and i fear that new content will be a long way off it they start once they declare unity successfully fixed. Of that is combined with hollowing out the events for a large part of the population, i fear a lot of new walkers

The last hint of new content they gave at the end of 2019 when there was a very early version of new adventure chain on test server, lasted for 2 weeks and hasnt been seen since.

I'm more interested in new content that doesn't focus on levels.... that's a snooze for me. I much prefer achievements as they include levels and look much wider to show that you have played all game elements. It would be nice if we had a new mechanic - such as actual PvP, where I could agree with another player to play a map where "capturing the flag first" was victory. i.e. a bit like a Co-op, but where it was a race to the final kill.
BB could take an existing map like SCiS and add a feature where first to finish got double loot (or some other prize).

More buildings are made (designed) and implemented in the game, while on island the space is still limited to 2011.
Then, 2015 (?) some new archipelago. Nice. But... it has been nearly 8 years!!!
Some 40 new building places?
Need a storeage on each, so that is -5

Given that for example the settlers HQ (7 in my starmenu *sigh*) take up at least 4: -4;

How many new buildings were introduced since last more land space?
For example, on this upcoming event, Halloween 2022, I buy 3x sunflower fields (4x4 building space needed), that is an additional -12 places;

Island is too small.
There is no need for new buildings if 2011 /2015 island space stays the same.
Old players have no space, new players cannot afford those buildings.
What use is another building in starmenu?

I also love sending out 80 explorers with 3 mouse clicks per explorer and some mouse movement.

Starting: 80 buildings: 160 clicks
Buffing: 80 clicks
Stopping :160 clicks...

Select explorer 1st click,
choose treasure search 2nd click,
choose length of treasure search 3th click,
start searching 4th click.
So with your (only):p 80 explorers you have 320 :( clicks to go.

Don't forget they "fixed" bushes at one point which reduced building space by ~10% and caused loads of buildings to be in invalid places for older players, it's a nightmare when you just want to swap some stuff around and half of the spots you move buildings from are invalid locations for new buildings.
its hard to understand why an auction function was added when there has been very little (at least on english servers) interest in such a feature. We still don't even have working pvp ffs.
maybe BB has so many layers of management that feedback ends up being like a game of telephone and no useful feedback ever actually reaches the developers.

Interesting, because on PL version they repeatedly said they have no intention of ever allowing sending multiple explorers because they consider this 'automation'.
Naturally, doing the exact thing for generals they dont.
How long ago did they mention the automation? we started getting 3-5x more explorers in the last 2-3 years, before the packs started being added it might have been borderline on whether it was necessary, but now its putting peoples wrist health at risk. If they are really against it then they need to stop adding new explorers. I think I gained around 70 explorers in the first 7 years and managed to get nearly every one that was added. Now I have about 200 and I have missed loads, I can see some people who spend a lot having nearly 300.
They could at least reduce the number of clicks, eg put all the explorer options in the same window and have an option to confirm on click instead of needing to use the tick box. It would only need 2 clicks per explorer then instead of 4 (and less wrist movement between options). There have been loads of suggestions to improve the explorer sending without needing automation and they have basically done nothing.

That goes back to the point where they dont really do much more than copy-pasting the events, sometimes adding a little bit more of the same, so if they stopped doing that question is what exactly would be left for them to do.

Will Unity allow for group sending of explorers?
We know this is a feature that is very high on the Wishlist of all Settlers and thus it is also very high on our list of new features we want to develop in the future. That said, we want to make you aware that we still must prioritize other topics first. Of course, porting the game as smooth as possible is mandatory so we all can continue building our islands. But also fixing bugs and improving the performance is still more important. But after all, Settlers have moved into Unity and you and we are satisfied with the game’s performance, this will be one of the first features we want to tackle.
This is still our official word.

Oh dear, despite all the negative feedback, they're still pushing that auction house on us. :(
Guess Tuesday will be the usual, hotfix to correct the parts of Halloween that have failed last 4 times to start correctly?
Be so much simpler to fix that ancient bug once and for all, rather than keep wasting the 1st day of event, and fix the event timer so that the clocks going back doesn't sennd it into a tailspin.

It is not the event timer that is off, it is one of the severs that cannot keep the time.
One of the servers is running 17 minutes late.
You can check if your connection is with the server witch is on time or running slow by opening the trade window and scroll down to the latest entry. If the time for the item is lower then 6 hours your in luck. If however the time is more then 6 hours, everything time related on your island will be late. The event will start later and also the quests for Love Garden, Christmas tree and Ghost-ship.

Misc: A JavaScript issue has been fixed
Quests: Fixed an issue that prevented the “Further Help” tutorial quest from completing
Sound: Fixed an issue that caused sounds to no longer play after switching to an adventure and back to the home island
Specialists: The Pirate Explorer now brings back the correct amount of map fragments on Medium Treasure Searches
Text: Copy & paste in the chat now works again, in the near future we will also make marking text in the chat window possible again
Text: Fixed some localization issues
UI: The auction window can no longer be removed from its frame
UI: Adjusted the icon size of Stone Depot buffs so that they no longer overlap with other UI elements
UI: Fixed the background of the Blacktree icon

I have suggested this a few times.
Stop giving us new buildings for events.
Make the event building upgradable by event items only for example settlers hq needs to be upgradable , i have far too many of these huge buildings,
The stadium snack stand .. why give us so many just to make them faster , just allow them to be upgraded by pumpkins at the time of that event.
Christmas tree I now have 5 on my island when i could have just ONE up graded 5 times by Christmas presents during the Christmas event.
So much easier.

No Katy, this "effect" is on top of the dodgy timekeeping server-side.
Once the clocks go back in the middle of the Halloween event (and on the occasion where "Spring forward" coincides with the Easter event), the event timer popup goes haywire and cannot be trusted. We've seen deactivations when the timer is still showing hour(s) on event running time, or conversely, extra time where an explorer could have been sent on a higher search level.
This is why post #24 above is self contradictory, and inaccurate.
We are not satisfied with performance even if BB are, and if priority is indeed to make the Unity implementation stable before adding new features, why is this Auction House being foisted upon us when Test server experience shows it is not functional, and this is the latest bugged item going live despite our reporting. No wonder bugs reported during the testing phase 2 years ago are still in evidence when the bug reports are no longer visible in this forum. And if we dare to repost them, we are accused of "double-posting", rather hilariously this includes via PM which is one of the features still not working correctly. I have several I cannot reply to, and this also makes it impossible to send helpful links to other players where we need to cut n paste information, it had become our last resort as the c/p function doesn't work in chat or in-game mail.
I know bug-fixing is a difficult job, so why make it harder?

The Auction House addition is part of the Trade Office redesign, which was one of the reasons why the game's performance was not as good as expected. The first version of Auction House, which was originally added to our test server together with the Trade Office redesign, was removed from the update that hit the live servers. Based on feedback, we have made changes to the Auction House system and it has been added again with the latest update, so this version is not the original one, but the upgraded based on suggestions/reports from the test server.

May be an issue on the Auction house re paying for membership. I paid the 10 k coins, got the nothing to see here message but all was fine. Later I logged back in after a few hours and it was asking me for 10k coins for the membership again. Worrying if it keeps doing this.

Why then in your post earlier do you say that fixing bugs is a priority before adding new features?
This is something I've seen nobody request to be added tothe game, and from the bug reports and posts here, it isn't even "functioning" as intended.
Please stop this madness and focus on the core problems that are handicapping our game, and if you cannot "undelete" the bug reports we have made over the past 2 years then allow us to repost them until they are addressed, and leave bugged "features" on the Test server where they belong, not on the Live ones.

I don't see any other reports on this issue, are you sure the 10k was used from your account each time? If so, please reach out to our Support Team, they will be able to investigate further.

Can you tell me which post you are referring to?
Our dev team is focused on solving the remaining issues, but that doesn't mean we won't make some changes/improvements along with bug fixes. As I said earlier, the Auction Hall was part of the Trade Office redesign - this was done to improve performance.

I only see one message from LL, so it may be a local issue, as I don't see more players reporting it. Also, could you please link the bug reports and posts you mentioned? Maybe I missed something.

I don't remember removing any Bug Reports posts, I was only merging threads that are about the same issue, so I am not sure what you mean.
Feel free to browse our forums, and if you see a thread with a bug/issue, please feel free to post a new report in that thread, or bump it up with your latest report if you feel it is "forgotten."
