Really silly question, but for the third part of the quest playing Bellboy , you need 3 x Complex Experimentation Equipments on your island. but what are they ?

It is star, you can put 3 Complex Experimentation Equipements in your island.

Wondering if these are long lasting decorations after the event? It seems they might be, not sure though...

They have a purpose in the quest chain, beyond that I think they might be.

I am a total loss to what they even are? is some sort of building

Follow the togetherness event quest chain and it will ask you to build them, they should be in your star menu.
