I haven’t been able to play for 12 hours. The game starts but doesn’t load. Many other users are reporting the same problem on different channels, yet the official page is still silent. What’s going on, and when will we be able to play again? We’re losing the event, premium, and time in open adventures!

I raised a ticket through the contact form, but it ended up with Ubisoft, so I seriously doubt Cipsoft is even looking at that queue. I also fired off an email to tso-support@cipsoft.com - let’s see if they even bother to respond. What’s even more disappointing is that there’s been zero official announcement or ETA to keep us informed. Fingers crossed, but honestly, this is beyond frustrating.

Ranting and raving doesnt get u anywhere-

Cipsoft was clear, they are NOT in control of the datacenter yet- the migration will be after this event and till then we have to deal with the Ubisoft datacenter management.

So the same old problems are still here for another few weeks - It is not that cipsoft doesnt care- seeing they are taking over the whole running, but they will hit the same brick walls in some way/shape or form as we do - namely Ubisoft needs to sort it till they moved

I'm not interested in their internal migrations or other issues - those should be handled without affecting end users. The real issue here is the lack of communication. It's been three days, and there's still no update or acknowledgment. The problem isn't just that the game isn't working! It's that users are left completely in the dark. We deserve clear information on what's happening, what to expect, and when a fix will be in place.

but the issue is still the same every time sandycove has an issue- it is Ubisoft and they don;t fix it/cant fix it

after the migration we can see if things improve or not

the communications from cipsoft are not what u would want- but on a (very sad) bright note, it is much better than Ubisoft the past few years - seeing it is still severely lacking is the sad part in this - Er will find out if things improve to somewhere near acceptable minimum levels or not :P

Still doesn' work on some servers. It's been 6 DAYS already and noone is repairing it. With the event over it still hasn't started working. Incredible.

The Polish Valley of Discoveries server has been down for at least six days. I'm posting here because no one from CIPsoft reads the Polish forum. Technical support is not responding to requests. Could someone kindly explain this to Polish players?

i thought i'd throw in the translation and yes, a valid question. Cipsoft should be a bit more pro active in communicating about these issues - even if the answer is - we throw up our hands in the air as that is all we can do and all will be better next month after we migrated - thenw e will have the flip the finger at ubisoft mini event with a nice new decoration in style :P

i could login to us server / ares till 14.00 today, but after finishing gq can't login any more. so on the one side I am the happy ones who was able to play till today. but even after the "resolved" message 17.00 hours, i can still not login in to us server. (UK server I can login)

I wonder if it is time for me to donate everything I can and quit this game. No longer worth the effort and agro.

I couldn't get in Thursday already. I have to wonder given the people who aren't complaining if this is a case of if you are using the third party client you are having no problems and only the people playing the game as intended are locked out.

if server is down or have connection issue then no one with third party can play if they cannot play from the browser, since the client will face with exactly the same issue since it use the ubi login and auth, so what do you think where connect the client if not to the ubi?
Please do not spread fake information.

From my experience (even it is rarely happened) but exactly opposite, during the valentine event browser allowed me to login (for short duration) when from the client was even more unplayable or not allowed to login at all, so if u can login with the client then u surely can login with browser too, it is not a theory, it is a fact...

I have no idea how that third party client works and have zero interest in knowing. However, it is a fact that prior to the football event I couldn't login for days and the people using the client could. It has happened numerous times before as well.

People on Ares who usually complain on here about not being able to get into the server are not complaining now and they play on the client so I very much suspect they are playing the game just fine now.

And it very much depends on where the problem is logging in if someone can log in from the client and not from the browser. They tell you to try a different browser for a reason. However, lately it hasn't matter which browser you use, you can't access from any of them.

I am beginning to agree, 72 hours no log in, no word. CipSoft is losing our faith. Issues like this is why they game is dying in the first place.

so, just perusing the forum and looking at the "bugs and Technical Issues" page. There are 10 threads regarding the inability to log in. This is obviously not a new issue. What is the problem with getting it fixed once and for all. is Cipsoft capable of actually fixing issues, or are they just "managing" the game for UbiSoft?
I guess we can expect no real change and the issues will be continuing into the future.

lets not make conspiration theories if you have problem with interpretting the code... i play on Sandycov but it is the same if i use brave, firefox, chrome, opera gx (on phone), or client....
no one of those have advantage over others if we talk about the login, i tried all of them, all work the same if login have issues... there is no workaround to avoid the login to ubisoft, no hacks, no tricks etc...

Was time when my guild mate was able to login and i not, or inverse WITHOUT using the client, simple from browser, there is multiple potential issue
- server is totally cannot be accessed (global issue, ex. server totally down, auth is down or anything not works at all)
- partial issue when some player cannot login but the others yes (server bugs, server workload, or session, auth, the database related issues), who can login make sense to switch to the client, but not the client makes it works, they switch because it is works from them it is is not guild or country depended according my experience)

All login related issue is related with the Ubisoft infrastructure and services, which is not migrated yet and takes time, it is far from the easy and fast job to migrate the servers, so much work needed and cooperation from ubi side as well, i got your frustration about the login issues, no need to spread false info, i had login problem for longer time too where most of crap happened with Sandycov, now way better (at least last 2 event was wwwwaaaayy better than before), just wait, everything will be solved

What part of they are migrating the game to their own infrastructure in the coming month didn't land? And then translating it into some vague accusation of neglect as well ...

They cant fix connection issues until they are in control- a migration takes time to organize if you dont want to do it with a load of downtime for the players -

Dear Settlers,

Many of you have been wondering how the migration of The Settlers Online is progressing. While preparations are well underway, most of the work until now has taken place behind the scenes. Therefore, we would like to give you a brief overview of the current status.

We understand that some of you would prefer details or hope for concrete news about the future development of the game. However, with a project of this scale and complexity, many things still require coordination, remain subject to change, or are of a confidential nature. There are numerous dependencies and links that are influenced by a wide range of factors, and their full scope is difficult to assess from outside. Reliability is important to us, so we focus our communication on relevant topics for which we can provide solid information.

The goal of the migration is to transfer all servers and game data to CipSoft's systems and to detach them from Ubisoft's infrastructure. For example, we will switch to a system with separate accounts for The Settlers Online in the future, replacing the current Ubisoft Connect accounts. Ubisoft will soon inform you by email about the terms under which your data may be handed over to CipSoft. If you do not want your data to be transferred, you will have 30 days to object. In that case, your game data will then be deleted.

Our technical team is currently busy preparing the migration of the servers and the game data. This includes, for example, setting up the infrastructure for The Settlers Online at CipSoft. They are also building an internal test system to be able to test the relocation thoroughly, so that the actual migration can run as smoothly as possible.

Our overall aim is to minimise game disruptions caused by the maintenance work required for the migration. Hence, the first possible time window for the server transfers is the period after the Anniversary Event and before the start of the Halloween Event. However, since this depends on various factors, we currently cannot guarantee that the migration will actually take place during that window. We will let you know as soon as we are certain whether that timeframe is feasible.

We are already taking care of the community management. For now, we are using the existing structures to keep you informed and to stay in touch with you: the news section and forum on both the German and English websites. In the long term, we want to create a central and consistent place for game information, news, and communication that is easy to access for all of you and reliably available.

Our support team is already assisting you together with Ubisoft staff as far as possible at this stage. While we do not have direct access to the game servers and data yet, we are working with Ubisoft to improve the situation.

The part of The Settlers Online team that chose to join CipSoft is continuing its previous work on the game. At the same time, we have formed a team of experienced CipSoft members in Regensburg who are now getting familiar with the game code and design.

We hope this short overview gives you a bit of direction and helps to put the current stage of the migration in context. We would like to thank all of you again for your support, your patience and your understanding. We look forward to the future of The Settlers Online and our journey together.

yes, it takes, it is not migrate from there #1 server to #2 or whatever but from the ubisoft also summer usually holiday season so not expect any wonder, more than that not just game totally new to cipsoft but also the type of the game, they have few from old ubi employees but if they have insufficient employee + holiday season then this is totally normal...
more than that u can see small server but the infrastructure around this "small" server is enough complex (multiple unknown factor, legacy code or tools, dependency etc), so that part what a user cannot see but a developer who work there yes.
I am not naive, i am developer as well (but not at ubi or cipsoft, however i have few idea what should happens behind the courtain), migrating stuffs not a dream thing to do and i doubt they have too much dev for this, so we need to wait as players....

This is not a browser issue. Nor is it a "migration" issue. It has happened several times in the past. it is a Ubisoft created glitch that still plagues us. if CipSoft is not in control, then maybe they should not act like they are in control. This log=in issue should be their number one priority. Also, it did affect the Sandycove server recently and they fixed it quite quickly. I am asking for the same attention and care for the U.S. servers and all the other servers that have been neglected.

You use the forum where everybody have right to reply (if break the rules) but you most of the time complain about something, indirectly accuse others and make them into bad image because you have no knowledge and you do not care about how those things works or about the truth, just saying about "stated the fact" but no evidences at all just angry/frustrated words, then if get reply then you feel it is personal attack... but many of client user buy gems (that can be proved with the transactions) and not complain, they are not better or worse than others, they are not hackers or shady peoples with bad intentions...

If you feel annoyed then go walk about and calm down, grown up or do not use the internet and keep you inner peace, because this is a game forum, not real life.
I do not know about the other servers, but since they started the progress the Sandycov a lot more playable and events are more enjoyable, they reply more often but they have no full control still controlled by the ubi.

try to write to their (Cipsoft) support (in email), I mean according my experience they often write back even if you wrote to the tibia support
I remember to the issue on Sandycov too but it was resolved pretty fast, but in that case was indifferent client or browser, both was dead, i was glad that time it was solved pretty fast compared how it was solved at begining of the year

Many have lost industrial mines, regular mines have been depleted and worst of all we have lost many resources to the failed Pathfinder. As well as lost opportunity to earn crystal shards, xp, and treasure due to buffs in place. It is very annoying that we cannot play our chosen accounts.

i understand, that not good if you cannot login that long, without having at least few hours when it is works when at least u can buff, send expos and geo or do the quests, but did you tried? i had issue in past i wrote to (i guess) 2-3 of their emails and they at least wrote back, maybe worth a try to spam their contact (email, fb, twitter etc), maybe someone put some pressure from their other team to the team who keep the contact with the ubi https://www.cipsoft.com/en/contact (i hope they will fix it if it will get enough attention). I hope it is temporary employee issue and if yes then starting from September at least they return back and it will be faster reactions.

Finally a word from CipSoft support....issue has been passed to BB Development and they hope it gets fixed soon ! I understand it's up to BB to fix but was hoping for something stronger from Cipsoft re kicking BB along. Just found out guilds on ares who can get in are unable to visit my island....it's like the island is locked out fort some reason..all in all very very very frustrating

Not sure what your issue is. Looks like many folks cannot play the game at all. Not sure what Client is and how it benefits anyone. Seems if player x can use it then you could as well. Stop blaming players and look at the provider. I have not been able to play in 5 days, have likely lost some industrial buildings, have lost PFB time, lost out on growth.

Instead of attacking other players ask the companies why this keeps happening.

If I get banned for this big deal. We have to wonder why for the first time in a few years we have issues of not being able to log in to the game. I have had zero issues for the last 2 years, then after the take over was made public there are random players unable to log into the game.
Anyone who does not see the issue is blind. I will be sending another ticket to Cip and hope they make good on the losses I have taken with my game. Should not be hard to trace down the game sabotage. My guess is a mid school computer kid can figure it out. Remember, BB dropped the ball with the end of Adobe and took years to recover to only have an unplayable game after it was noted to be sold........ No rocket science needed

BB has always been bad working weekends- now that they are saying goodbye to us- they do it by spitting in our direction and work even less well for this community

I do hope that cipsoft has taken notice and will accelerate the move as this will only chase people away

there is only so much hiding you can do behind ubisoft and with certain servers being more donw that up- that point kinda has been reached

Also, their communication on actions taken is a bit lacking now- probably because they are hitting the same brick wall

Monday and still cannot access Ares.....got in for 10 hrs over the last 12 days and no indication that it's going to get fixed..telling BB there is an issue really doesn't cut it....its been same issue on both outages. B fixed it ( sort of ) once: why can't they do it again ?
