Losing resources

I keep losing resources, last night I had 5k water 4k coal and and 4k fir wood, this morning I had 1 coal 3 wood and 0 water, this has been happening for quite some time now and I thought it strange but assumed things were being used up, but I turned off buildings to amass more resources and it still happened, I think somehow the game is leaking resources, eg: when we trade the resources are taken automatically and I think there's a problem there. I don't feel like playing to lose all my stuff, can you look into this please, thank you.

Edited to add...I have three coal mines 1 recycling plant and 1 coking plant I keep them all buffed, numerous wells and a watermill, and load of wood cutters.
