Tearing down a building while producing -> resources lost

I wanted to move my barracks (however that can now be done only by tearing down and rebuilding it).
I was in the unit creation screen (so I didn't see the recruiting queue)
I tore down the barracks and realized, that my units were not yet recruited (8 of 9 were recruited when I last checked).

However these units were not added to my store, not did they finished when I rebuilt the barracks.

Expected behavior:
Tearing down a building is impossible when there is some production processing OR at least cancel that production so no resources are lost.
