About trading when no answer

What happened when I send trade request and the other player doesn't answer?, where are my resources?, how much time have I got my resources lost in the time :)?, Is there a time limit for this situation?, Do I lost my resources for ever?. Thank you all and sorry for my english.

If the request is not answered, your resources will be returned after 8 hours
