Bandit Leader hurted or not?

If you not kill the bandit leader, will he be hurted to the next fight or will he recover?

so the only way to defeat bandits that require 2 waves to be defeated is to have 2 generals?
you can't attack, recover, and go back to finish the job?

Thats not how 2 wave attacks work
The 1st wave is send to kill as much troops as possible so the 2nd wave can clear out the rest, including a boss.
Its not ment to soften up the boss.

They only time you're going to need more than one general, is when you do adventures. You can clear the island with only one.

You can attack with the same General when he recovers after four hours.
