Hello there,
Has anyone been dealing with increased lag problems over the last week or so?
Until last week, I'd never had more than 2 or 3 seconds lag but since then it's been pretty bad. Sometimes the lag is 30 seconds or more.
Am I alone in this problem or is it systemic?
So no one else is having lag problems?
Things that I have noticed:
1) When I demolish a building it sometimes takes a long time to register. The same with putting a building in the queue.
2) Sometimes my geologists don't register for almost a minute before going out on a search.
3) It takes longer to visit a friend's island and longer to return to mine.
4) When I return to my island my settlers start running around at warp speed for 3 to 5 seconds.
5) The same thing happens to my generals when I'm attacking. They will pause, and then quickly move for a short period of time before resuming their normal pace.
I've updated all my software and cleared my cache and cookies but nothing has helped the problem.
Can anyone provide some insight?

It is difficult to pin point where exactly the lag issues come from (varies from individual to individual and country as well) but know that your points have been noted.
