Maintainance shutdowns

if i buff my buildings just before server shuts for maintainance do i lose it or will it continue for it duration once the servers come back up ?
several times now i have forgot about the servers shutting down and buffed me buildings 20-30 minute before the go down :( so just wondering if i lose the rest of the buff :)

Although I am not totally certain, I am pretty sure from experience that the buffs, production and building queues continue to work :).
