I completed the bounty hunter mission and have waited for my troops and general return and they haven't. Can't afford time or effort to replace 200 troops and buy another general :(

My Veteran General and around 100ES has also gone missing.
I'm fuming @nihilst. can't afford time or money to replace :(

Don't worry, you'll get the general back one way or another :).
Try clearing your web browser cache, if that fails contact support and let them know what happened and what you lost.

You got your general and troops back? Mine returned today! Don't think it was thanks to support though since I got this email from them;
"Thank you for taking the time to get in touch. Unfortunatelly we cannot replace your Veteran Generals due to technical issues with the way the game is designed, however, We would be able to replace each Veteran General for two BHG instead."
my vet turned up again after about 7hrs along with the troops
