I was wondering if there's a guide about how many buildings you need for each kind of building to get some decent production.
I was wondering because i think my weapons production is very very low, and i just can't seem to find a balance to it all...
I get the feeling it takes like 2 weeks to get my general to have 200/200 troops (of any kind).
are you using all 6 copper mines with storehouse nearby? that would be a good start, knowing that level 1 copper mine lasts 42 hours (21h for level 2 and 14 for level 3 and so on)
you can only upgrade copper smelters once you have your wood and coking production able to supply them first. many people never upgrade past level 3 for those buildings as it takes so long to get enough coins.
Higher level players are limited by how much bread they produce to make settlers with.
I will make a new account on new server and document my progress. As a kind of Guide.
The reason there is no guide is simply because there are enough resources out there for the dedicated player to figure out how many of each thing they need. bring up your resource tab thing to see how much of each thing you are using and how much you need. if you have not enough, build another building to make more until its balanced.
The other way to look at it is to go into existing buildings and see their production times and input-output. Then calculate the other buildings you'll need to produce enough input, and work out how many buildings you can supply with the output. Thus creating a 'chain' of production.

I can answer that question for you. When you're new to the game, you have to build up as fast as you can, so you need pinewood, pwplanks, stone, marble, hardwood etc. After you've established yourself, you want to play adventures because that's where the really cool stuff comes from. So you want to be able to build up your army fast.
We all know recruits (and bowmen) are cannonfodder, so these are the guys we want to train. The others we train with the resources we find in the adventures, or we trade for them on TO.
You get 100 extra settlers every day. To train them we need 1000 br swords and 2 lvl 3 br swordsmakers will provide those.
Extra settlers will be made in the provision house using bread. For every 3 bakeries you need 2 extra br swordsmakers.
Of course you need coppersmelters, coppermines, coalmines.
And fishermen, hunters and butchers for buffs.
But the most important ratio is:
- Start with 2 br swords.
- Add 3 bakkeries for every 2 extra br swords.
Good info. When I get it done, I hope my little guide will detail how many of each building you want with each +10 licenses you get conquering each new Sector on your island. And info on what to expand on as you buy +10 license packs with gems.
Building Chains Info
2 Bronze Weaponsmith Chains Need: 2 Copper Smelters + 1.5 Cooking Plants + 1 Copper Mine + 1.5 Pinewood Cutter + 2.25 Pinewood Forrester.
3 Bakery Chains need: 6 Mills + 12 Farms + 6 Wells + (Enough Wheat fields to last however long you will be gone. Recommend: at least 1 Wheat Field per Farm)
