Frequently raised issues (not bugs)

Frequently raised issues:

• Part of UI screen out of browser screen (2013-01-15: 1)
  * Browser to full screen mode, hide friends list, adjust browser zoom level
• Can't spend gems (for example on instant build or hurrying explorer/geologist) (2013-01-30: 1)
  * Finish the quest "New settlers" (required level 4) and "Missing tools" (required level 6)
• No coins from Medium Treasure Search quest
  * Just keep trying, the reward is random.

Keeping this thread here for reference sake, will be transformed to gather the bugs that are no bugs like the "Find coins on a Medium Treasure Search". Most issues were moved to a seperate thread in the "Verified Bugs" section

This thread will try to keep an accurate and up to date overview of the reported issues in the "bugs" section
I will try to look at the bug section as often as I can and update this post when necessary.
The total amount of threads in the bug section made me decide to only look at threads that changed in (or after) January 2013.

I would ask you kindly not to start posting bugs in this thread, but by creating new threads for new issues, and posting to existing threads when you experience the same issue as the creator of the thread.

The date after the short issue description, is meant to be the creation date of the oldest thread. The numbers behind it are links to active threads related to this issue. A line starting with a * might solve the problem mentioned directly above, if it doesn't you can always contact Support.

Issues Support cannot help you with (probably needs a maintenance update)

• Quest doesn't unlock (2012-11-25: 1 a few quest chains are still locked, 2)
• Timer on Geologist,Explorer, General (traveling to adventure) sometimes restarts (2012-12-07: 1)
  * NOTE: this can also happen after you spend gems to speed up the specialist
• No mail notification when receiving from friends/co-adventurers while adventure map is active. (2013-01-24: 1)
  * The mail is actually in the box, and you can read it while on the adventure map
• Inviting or joining adventure chrashes game for some players (2013-02-07: 1,2)
• Progress building upgrade percentage is hidden by trees (2013-02-20: 1)
  * Often adjusting the zoomlevel can help, but there are locations where this will not help
• Combat preview shows empty popup (2013-06-26: 1)
  * You can send 1 recruit to attack the camp, after which the combat preview should work again
• Economy overview often shows negative values for pinewood and hardwood forresters while your "stock" actually goes up (2013-06-13: 1)

Issues you might solve yourself:

• Server zone crash directly after logging in (2013-01-13: 1)
  * Try the steps posted here before contacting Support
  * It might be related to placing specific buildings in specific sectors. [source]
  * You might be able to prevent this from happening, read here
• Side quest "Settlers shortage" doesn't count the Traveller Families applied to Mayor's house (2013-06-29: 1)
  * Produce 5 Traveller Families in one stack, then add that stack to the Mayor's house
• General can be transferred to a spot where he can't leave (2013-06-20: 1)
  * Send him home and then back again
• Buffs on friends don't always "stick" (2013-02-12: 1)
  * Log out, then log in and try again, stay on island till everything is glowing

Minor issues (most people can probably just ignore these)

• Sometimes you see a whole bunch of notification messages when visiting another players island (2013-02-15: 1)
• Sometimes you seem to get a buff stack with more then 25 items, turns out to be a visual glitch (2013-02-22: 1)
• Graphics glitch in the east of sector 3 (2013-06-26: 1)
• There is no "tie" option in a battle (2013-08-03: 1)
• "Luxury materials" has some inconsistent texts regarding the "Woodworm" quest (2013-08-04: 1)

It has not been fixed.

Well 3 reasons actually.
1) It has been reported fixed here
2) Multiple people that had the problem and reported it broken, reported it fixed for them
3) The green dots weren't working for me at first, but have been working since half january.

Unfortunately, having spoken to the Devs via a 3rd party, there's quite a lot of stuff they believe "We already thought that had been fixed".
My head has been looking for new brick walls, as it's worn quite a few out.
I assure you, although it sometimes shows signs of improvement, this 'feature' is still pretty much as broken as it was in December 2011 when it first reared its head.
Yet another random, that affects some worse than others.
