if it is correct then i cannot complete the first quest at all as it will take 10 days to find 50 eggs and in a 6 day quest how is that possible?

It's a 13 day quest
There are 3 main event quest (one every 6 day)
Buy some Savage Scouts or some Experienced Explorers first.
it will take 10 days if you only have 1 explorer.....maybe you have more than 1
It's 10 days with 2 regular explorers. Remember 'very long' is 2 days, so in 10 days a single regular explorer completes 5 iterations, netting 25 eggs.
Getting at least the 3rd regular explorer would certainly help, and by level 40 I'd kind of hope you already do.
As dorkan said above - you are assuming that you only have 1 explorer...
Yes, it would take 10 days for 1 normal explorer to find 50 eggs, but 12 hours for 10 'Fast' explorers!
you can have max 3 regular explorers and they can find 45 eggs in 6 days .... without fast explorer quest can't be done!!!!

There are 2 fast explorers available for eggs!
Once you've found those 50 eggs you need, you can use them to go towards buying one of the easter explorers :)
