Quests finishing before alloted time bug?

Hi,

My general was about an inch away from the camp to complete the final battle of the Pirates quest, when the quest expired and sent my troops home - the trouble is i still had 4 minutes left on the timer so i should have been ok to finish it to get my lovely granite/exotic wood/mother love quest....

I know there can sometimes be issues with lag, but more than 4 minutes out of sync is not just lag...

Sounds a bit like an unfortunate glitch. Probably the best way to avoid that happening it to make sure you have at least 15 minutes or longer to complete before the timer runs out. It could be down to a bit of bad luck, but 4 minutes does seem to be cutting it a bit fine.
