Upgrade of barracks
I recently upgraded my barracks from level 3 to level 4 (it stated it would be 33% quicker)....
I will list, below, the times before and after for each unit...
1 recruit / 1min / 45s / improvement = 15s/1m = 1/4 = 25% / *
1 bowman / 1min 30s / 1m / improvement = 30s/1m30s = 1/3 = 33%
1 militia / 2mins 40s / 2m / improvement = 40s/2m40s = 1/4 = 25%
1 cavalry / 6min / 4.5m / improvement = 1.5m/6m = 1/4 = 25% / *
1 longbow / 2mins 40s / 2m / improvement = 40s/2m40s = 1/4 = 25%
1 soldier / 4m / 3m /improvement = 1m/4m = 1/4 = 25% / *
1 xbow / 6m 40s / 5m / improvement = 1m40s/6m40s = 1/4 = 25%
1 elite / 10m / 7.5m / improvement = 2.5m/10m = 1/4 = 25% / *
1 cannon (not yet lvl 48 so don't know)
But as you can see, so far, only the bowmen have actually improved by 33% whereas everything else has improved by 25%. I checked with other people and it says 'improves recruting speed by 33%' and not 'up to 33%'.
Furthermore, those marked with an asterisk, are exactly divisible by 3 (original production time) and therefore can be improved by 33% (eg cannon 10 mins - 33% = 3m 20s improvement). Those not marked by an asterisk are not (but could be rounded up/down). eg. 1 xbow 6m40s - 33% = 2m13.333s improvement, but could be rounded to 2m).

The barracks button to upgrade to lvl 4 says "Increases recruiting speed by 33%", it doesn't say "Decreases recruiting time by 33%"
Its speed at lvl 3 was 60 recruits per hour. Its speed now at lvl 4 is 80 recruits per hour. A speed increase of 33%.
Whatever it says, training time for any unit type will be lvl 1 time รท barracks level.
(This isn't a bug, it's a pebcak.)

It increase production, not decreases time required to produce 1 unit.
At level 1 you produce 1 unit per given span
At level 2 you produce 2 units in that same span (so production increases by 100%, time per unit decreases by 50%)
At level 3 you produce 3 units in that same span (so production increases by 66%, time per unit decreases by 33%)
At level 4 you produce 4 units in that same span (so production increases by 33%, time per unit decreases by 25%)
At level 5 you produce 5 units in that same span (so production increases by 25%, time per unit decreases by 20%)
Examples:
::R:: Recruit
level 1: 3.00 min <-- 3/3.00 = 1 unit per span of 3 minutes
level 2: 1.50 min <-- 3/1.50 = 2
level 3: 1.00 min <-- 3/1.00 = 3
level 4: 0.75 min <-- 3/0.75 = 4
level 5: 0.60 min <-- 3/0.60 = 5
::B:: Bowmen
level 1: 4.00 min <-- 4/4.00 = 1 unit per span of 4 minutes
level 2: 2.00 min <-- 4/2.00 = 2
level 3: 1.30 min <-- 4/1.30 = 3 (actually the production time should be 1.33, but it isn't ingame ;), and that's why bowmen is different)
level 4: 1.00 min <-- 4/1.00 = 4
level 5: 0.80 min <-- 4/0.80 = 5

Yes, you're both absolutely correct.
I made the assumption that 'increasing recruiting speed by 33%' would equate to 'decreasing recruiting time by 33%', and when you do the math..... it doesn't.
I stand corrected.
Thankyou.
