You're not the first to suggest this, and I'm sure you won't be the last... Along with something similar in the Provision House, this is part of a long list of player requests that has been consistently ignored for longer than I have been playing the game.
Barracks update should be a priority. May as well go tell a dog though, they'll listen about as much as BB
