::C:: I sent 100 cav as a LS on BK. All cav were killed, but my total population has not reduced. When I went to set my replacement troops to train in the barracks, I was unable to transfer the 100 population from my star to the mayors house.

Did you move the adventure loot to your storage before this? If so, the loot had settlers in it and they were added to your population when you accepted the loot mail.
