[Dev Diary] Shotfirer (aka. Mountain Buff)
Shotfirer: Dev Diary about acquiring more space on the home island
Dear Settlers!
A previous Sneak Peek provided a brief summary and first impressions about this new way of acquiring
additional building space on your island. The game version with the new "Shotfirer" will go public on
February 24th 2015.
Let's have a closer look at it!
With the help of two special buffs that will be available in the shop, it'll be possible to remove many mountains of different sizes from the home island. This will result in free building spots on the home island that were not accessible so far!
How to acquire more space on the island First, you need to find some rocks on your home island that can be removed.
There are 3 types of them: Rubble, Rocks and Mountains.
Let’s say you found a Mountain that you would like to remove, here is an example of what it can look like:
Now you to find an appropriate item (buff) in the star menu. In case of a Mountain, you need a Demolition crew buff.
Just select it and activate on the object. This is what it looks like:
Activation of the buff will send the corresponding experts to the selected place. Please note that the bigger the object is,
the longer it takes for the experts to complete their task. The remaining time will be displayed above the rocks that you are about to remove:
The crew responsible for removing rocks from your home island will let you know when they are ready to proceed with the next step.
This will be indicated by a special symbol floating above the object. It looks like this:
Removing rocks without an explosion? Not possible!
After the detonation is confirmed (by clicking on the rocks), a count-down and an explosion will follow:
And all this leads to more space on a home island that can be used to enhance visual aspects of a settlement,
as well as to boost the overall production and efficiency levels:
Available buffs:
Name: Shotfirer
Effect: Removes Rubble and Rocks
Costs: 550 Gems, (Limit: 20)
Gain: 1-5 Building sites
Name: Demolition Crew
Effect: Removes Mountains
Costs: 990 Gems (Limit: 8)
Gain: 3-9 Building sites
It will be possible to construct more buildings on the home island. Therefore, the building licences limit in the shop will be raised by five ( +5) to 23.
The new game version will be deployed at February 24th 2015.
