1st Ali xp jumping

Done few Ali Baba the young wood cutter now and I've noticed that the amount of XP from it changes.
I know that the stats for some units have been lowered recently but it looks like they are up again.
And how many times has this been done?
I have here 4 different XP amounts coming out of this adventure:

Not that it makes much difference as these jumps are small but I'm curious to why it happens.

I think it as to do with the use of instants.

If you lose less troops you get less experience. At least thta's what i think it is. I did some on test and when i used more instants i'de get les exp.

xp is link to mobs killed surely not how you kill them ?..

should be. has not always been so.
