Daily Quest - First Wave
Hi All,
New player here (level 15). Feel free to flame me or direct me to the appropriate place to ask this.
I think this is my second Daily Quest, named "First wave". I am to "Pay 100 Bronze [bars] from your storage" with a reward of "120 copper ore". In order for me to make those 100 bars took 100 copper ore + 100 coal + time. This seems like a terrible deal. Why would BB offer a quest that retards a new players progress? Is there some hidden XP reward given?
Are TSO/BB quests a mix of favorable and unfavorable quests?

I'd say there are some more favorable quests and som less favorable quests, but which quests are more or less favorable depends on how you play. If you use a x2 buff, 100 bars cost 50 copper and 50 coal. If you have a lot of coal, 120 copper for spending 50 might be a good deal. :)
Sorry to tell you there's no hidden reward. You get achievment points for completing 5 and a 100 daily quests, but after that there's nothing extra.

Nothing stops you from simply deleting the quest. I do so with more than 50%. I like having quests,- but must of them are either too silly or a very bad deal.
Yesterday I had one where the reward was 20 copper ore. I am level 59, so 20 copper ore is not worth the trouble,- I had to buy or sell some stuff.

Thank you. I deleted the quest.
As a new player, I had more than enough copper, but not many bronze bars. This quest would have only slowed my production of swords and thus troops.

Many of the daily quests are laughable. I'm deleting close to 75% of them now. Past the mentioned achievement bonuses for doing a certain number, they have no value and must be the silliest part of the game at the moment.

Yeah the daily quests are poor and I delete 99,5% of them all.
Please be careful with your choice of language

This has been an issue since their inception, many of the quests are based on you using at least 2x buff. The quest you use as an example would be typical paying 100 Bronze bars to get 120 copper, which in theory gives you back 240 bars for the cost of some coal. Trouble is coal is probably worth more than copper ore now.
-
It would be better for lower levels if the quest asked them to pay 120 copper ore and gave 100 bronze bars.
For higher levels, I don't think it matters much either way. I just click the button when the quest appears already completed/completable with one click and don't even read the text most of the time.

Pay 50 Gold Ore to get 50 Iron Ore, anyone? That's more silliness right there.
Or the dysfunctional "Have a Lv2 Hunter, not a LV1 and not a LV3 - most definitely not a LV4,5 or 6 either" is also a troll quest.
In general, those Daily Quests are like Roulette: Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Usually, it's better not to play at all.
Fortunately, you know the result before you gamble.
