At the moment, when I use Fairy Fire, the collectibles are highlighted by a tiny arrow. It's really hard to see sometimes. Thus, I suggest to replace it with something else bigger, and easier to see. And if possible, something pretty as well.
How about highlight the collectibles by a real Fairy Fire on them? Make the Fairy Fire effect big and tall, and very eye-catching like the buffs on buildings, so that I can spot the collectibles more easily.

This idea works for me, the current system shows a complete disregard for those of us with less than 20/20 vision.
+1 I find the little blue tag very hard to see especially as it matches the ones on our gens on home island - it just doesn't grab your attention.
Making the fairyfire tag bigger and brighter would be a bonus for me. I use them often and still end up with missing collectibles with the way it is at the moment.
Your proposed effect is pretty and i like it, but i would be just as happy with a bigger (different color) tag - anything to help my tired old eyes lol :)
I am new to this game and have managed to get to level 18 and have got my first fairy fire buff .. however I am unable to use it as it has no green highlight round it. Do I need to be at a higher level? or is this a glitch in the system? please help me .. tanks :)

+1 to making the fire stand out more. I don't use them much, but for those who do considering the cost in gems and the short time frame the reward should be something really obvious.
+ 10 :) Great idea - as it is now it is a waste to spend gems to get fairy fire.
+1 We need a better form of highlighting for the Fairy Fire. Something that stand out more than the no so outstanding marker we have now.
+1 a longer time on the y fi & y li buffs would be nice too.
