It really is the worst time possible to be running Valentine's event, which relies heavily on visiting and buffing friends, when since the Xmas deactivation, Zone Refreshes have increased dramatically, which can't be down to server loads since we're in a "between event lull". Additionally, visiting friends' maps is causing game freezes and crashes so bad that rebooting computer takes much longer to achieve as Windows struggles to deal with the aftermath.
The extremely short lead time from the bug creation server to Live is worrying, so Hotfix Tuesday has been marked in my diary.
Don't think many people will be buying gems, with Ubi relaunching Settlers: Command and Conquer Clone next week, and expecting players to find £67 for that, assuming their computers meet the ridiculously high system requirements, can't speak for Planet Ubi but in the real world, the priorities are eating, heating, rent/mortgage payments, not buying a 30 year old Westwood game with the Settlers name attached and upgrading perfectly serviceable computers, especially after a gaming rig that did meet requirements was fried by Unity last year.
Think I'll save my energy and sanity for Easter.
