You are going to have people accidentally have their account deleted with that information you provided on the log in panel. It is so confusing - 2 boxes indicating opt out and I assume the bottom one is the only one we have to be concerned with.

i don't get your comment,
as i see it, there is one box which you have tickmarked as delete or leave blank and on the bottom a confirmation button to press to make the change - which is a common way to do this when opting in or out
i havent tried to opt out and then opt in again to see if there are confusing pop ups but i'd advice anyone that wants to delete or that played around on that page to refresh the page and see what option you have registered
In all cases where you have irreversable changes, double confirmation should be the norm- so put in the tick AND confirm to activate the option and a wise person should then check if the choice was registered

I find the information on the homepage a bit confusing.
Asking players to either click or not click the highlighted box could easily lead to mistakes.
Most of us already expected that our data would be transferred, so this part is not surprising. However, the way the message is presented—with so many details—might make some players unsure about what they need to do. Some may even believe they must tick the box in order to keep playing, while in fact it’s the opposite.
A clearer message might have been:
If you want to continue playing, you don’t need to do anything.
If you wish to stop playing, then follow the link and tick the box.
Since the option to delete one’s account has always existed, this would have made things easier to understand.
In the end, accepting the transfer of our data is similar to accepting the updated terms of service we regularly receive from Microsoft, Google, Facebook, etc. Most players just want to keep playing, and for that, a simple, straightforward explanation would help avoid any confusion.
P.S.: I am French, and I noticed that the French homepage does not include such a long explanation. In this case, that’s actually a good thing: players won’t do anything, and therefore there will be no unpleasant surprises.
