and this one
Finds self wondering if those who used the old bush removal trick are those who get zone lockouts ?
This area is a puzzle, no shrubbery or tree in the zone, but still not a building ground :)
Please correct it
I never zone lock, many of the bushes can be worked around through smart placement of buildings/paths
Its funny that you can build in this land while you can't remove a little shrubbery, even if you have a tree cutter !, i really was think about this suggestion a lot.
Well we have ways of removing mountains, but shrubbery is a problem *wink*
Give us a spade for gems please!!!!
another one :(

btw for anyone wondering, I did plan my island by drawing roads and spaces for buildings, so it's full to the max with every space occupied... hence my desire and strong will to get those few "not really clear why I can't build there" areas on my island :)
Your going to love the Archipelago so many little annoyances on there, places where there aren't even stumps but still cant lay buildings like Mag Res, random little bits of barren ground. The main Island by and large looks like some consideration of layouts went into it, where if you looked close enough you could have good farm layouts or perfect walking times for production. The Archipelago looks like someone's just laid some build-able plots and gone that's near enough.
That would be a nightmare to play... I'm a sucker for detail
So heres a game suggestion. Remove all the cosmetic bushes and stuff that only take up valuable space instead of making them part of the map. Or give us more islands to place buildings on.
just my two cents.

Done, thank you.
Here is my personal overview of bushes I really would like to see removed, especially after map elements can not be removed anymore by placing flower beds. Either allow the removal similar to mountains by buying removal tools with gems - or (imho the smarter approach) remove any decorative elements that are in the way and block building placement. To be honest, limiting building space is not a smart way to force ppl to buy stuff with gems (or whatever you are planning to do). You should rather encourage players to build/buy more buildings - that would be a win-win for sure. Show us some love and remove these bushes please.

And a few more:
Spoiler
If for some reason you love shrubbery so much that you think it is vital to have these on the home island, why not place them inbetween trees? In case people will cut down everything, there won't be lonely tree stumps, but bushes and flowers - which would also make sense from a realistic point of view: shrubbery in forests is a real thing!!

hopefully bb listen to the 100 odd threads about removing bushes & junk but that spot u want has a tree on it which can't be included in any such update sorry
Maybe BB should play fair the other way round? New players cannot build where others have utilised this coding error as it has been removed. How about if BB remove to star all the buildings that were built using this feature? Won't be popular but will be fair to the new players who are now playing with a much reduced building space.

Looking at the size of the Epic Farmyard and Epic Woodyard, it seems fair to me to be able to remove trees/bushes in selected spots. They introduced the mountain/rubble destruction, I wouldn't think it would be that hard to introduce a 'stump grind' buff.
Hi BB and MODS I am so sad to see how much the game is taken over by them green bushes as we move a building from one spot to another spot. Can I suggest you make a thing like the shotfirer or what you can come up with for a small amount of gems to remove one bush. It would mean so much for me and I hope many would agree with me that it is very much nedded please BB. :) I do hope it will be considered. Thank you for doing so much at TSO to make it fun to play.

at 1st i thought this was a stupid suggestion. the idea of the game is to build an economy and work with what u have, which includes limited building space. Then i thought, well why not, especially with the recent rock removals. i cant see as it would be that hard to implement, as in the past all we had to do was place a decoration to remove a bush and then build on it. i'd spend a few gems on tree stump removal for sure :)
I wouldn't mind more space, but I do consider one of the game strategic elements is how well you can use the spaces available. If every space was available it would end up looking like even rows and columns of buildings all stacked next to each other requiring very little skill.
I'm very impressed when I look at some kingdoms about how well they have squeezed every possible building site into productivity. I don' think I want to see that completely go away.

Clearly space for a mag res to be built here. Lots of other people have got one there because they used the old tricks to remove that stupid little bush. Those bushes should simply not block building
Xibor raises a good point. One big essence of TSO is building your island, and that includes making decisions from where things go, to how things are exactly placed. Now multiple players could look at that screenshot Hazgod, and they'll see different opportunities: some might see the potential for many smaller buildings to fit around that space, whilst others may look to squeeze in the biggest they can fit.
All in all, there is a bit of strategy to TSO when it comes to placing down your buildings, and part of the magic I really love is seeing what different players do with the same space! :)
i dare not move or remove anything on my island.
did that once and a tree appeared underneath the building and now i cant build there. i didnt use any tricks to build there and i couldnt have removed the tree with tricks anyway. yet there it is. great.
Not all are exploits, the game was `updated' some time ago and more building space was added, and yes, some trees and shrubs were repositioned in the process. As Topgearfan suggests, there is a downside to those players having pre-positioned buildings before the update...namely its hard to know which buildings are effected, so its a real gamble if we want to try a new layout. If we move a building thinking we could move a bigger building into that space, but then find its not possible due to a `new shrub or tree' we also lose the original building placement and that could in effect act as a double whammy as now we need to re-locate that one as well..so its not as a one sided advantage that you might think ;)
i've lost 3 nobles this way. only thing u can do is suck it up and accept settlers little foibles
my island looks like the after shock of a dogs bowl after she has rammed her face in it hahah
when i spend time worrieing if i can get another building on it , ill go completely barmy and need higher professional help
Well I have used to "flower on a bush" trick and not had a zone lockout, and I am utilising several of these spaces. We have flower beds which people can place if they want a random bush in the middle of nowhere, big building areas just shouldn't be blocked by these. Alternatively a building which takes up the same area per population as mag res but with a much smaller footprint which we can buy as an alternative with star coins would work for this sort of situation. Still sucks for things like the epic yards though
