and i ask why that rush to get XP? what does XP (by itself) do for you? Is it prestige what you are aftert?
if you realy want to level up faster there is a simple thing to do: work harder. Position buildings to maxiimace rentability. Demolish what is not absolute nesesary just yet and rebuil what you need to make your army bigger and estronger. balance your prodution for a miximun income versus outcome, think and after thinking think again. this is a slow(ish) game a strategic game, what i counts here the mos is not how many enemies you can do over today, it is how many you can do over today and tomorrow, it is all about rentability, positioning and success. Roma wasent built in a day, it took centuries from been a small village in italy to be the rulers of the wold, that didint happen for casuallity, it happened with hard, constan work, improvements, trys and misses, hardship and loads and loads of battles.
and remember XP is only a number, higher XP dosent equal more troops, more goods, more nothing. Xp is only a number and naff all else.

Players dont want the hardship that comes with building a real town. What a weird comparison, come on :) This is a game. Nobody said anything about "rushing". Faster than the pace of a snail would already be a big improvement. Nobody -in this thread- said fighting in itself is important. It is made important by the developers because its the only way to gain XP and unlock new buildings (<--this being the purpose of XP). I would be happy with developing a nice little town with the addition of some hostile neighbourly friction now and then but in this lifetime, please.
