My problem with the latest event and quests: no options to cancel the quest if you know you can't complete it, i.e. no friends to use produced buffs on. I'm playing the game solo and have absolutely no desire to add random strangers to my player pool, but other quests that require friends and a cancel option, why isn't there one for the pumpkin quests?
