I did not say BB use that information for good. I know as well as many other players BB know full well what is going on most of the time but choose to one ignore it or two try and cover it up in denial. If they admit a problem they have to deal with everyone who had the problem.
Lets take the premium buff example after months of fighting support for a resolution they finally refunded everything I was missing but told others they wouldn't. Quite annoying really as it is not good customer service.
If they are at fault they should fix it for everyone without making you jump through hoops first.
