In all honesty those islands look like the last thing i'd approve as a designer, the whole thing already looks shabby with square island, and then more squares below win! button. I realize the whole issue with flash and memory and size. But if they can figure that out, i'm sure lead bb designer would buy more then 1 round of beers :)
I doubt you will see the Islands within the next 12 months at least given that rock removal has only just been introduced. As Dutch has pointed out price will be a sticking point, BB would probably have to hold at least 20 meetings just to make sure they aren't being sold to cheaply.
The point I was trying to make: the games has become "more". More of this, more of that, more clicking. But has it become more fun after you've reached lvl 50? I don't think so. And that's the elephant in the room that people prefer to ignore.
Oooh, we will get a small island! Oooh, we can blow up mountains. Who cares? I don't.
Please, don't give these players what they ask, give them what they want. They ask faster horses, give them cars. They want more room to build more boring stuff? Give them more fun!
