How is this still not fixed almost a month later. Science H Logic
In a disturbing turn of events, the settlers have decided to elect the quasi-invisible silent scarecrow as mayor. Things are much better these days.
How about this one?

I thought they had hidden my last one real well, but no they made it look like rock!!!
Has this happened to anyone else?? It's not surprising people complain when they are hidden this well
To make finding collectibles a bit easier I cut down all my trees apart from the stock around my wood cutters..makes it a bit easier but have still had some hidden in rocks!!
Third time i have that there's no collectible on the adventure island, this time on the christmas event the stolen sleigh. bummer
There's no guarantee of there being collectibles on adventures.
If they do happen to spawn, you will have a collectibles quest in your quest log.
this is the second hiden collectible i found hiden today

Stop Moaning !!
Collectibles is the most fun concept that has been implemented into the game for quite some time.
The whole idea is that you have to find them and they aren't always glaring out at you in the middle of an open field.
Gone are the days where your sitting around waiting for a general to arrive at his battle or a geologist to find his resources you always have something to do now.
It's always nice to find them all but if you don't then make a mental note to yourself "Must try harder next time"
I think there must be a lot of OCD sufferers playing TSO. Do you HAVE to find every single collectible every time? I have to admit I do find it a little funny how angry some of you are getting. If I find most of them I am pretty happy.
While I do think they need to fix some of the placements, I don't think it's cause for people to take up arms and start a revolution over. I am exaggeration but thats how this thread feels to me. An over reaction. If you are in a guild then it's a nice bonding part of the game. In our guild we normally have several people on our island helping us get the collectibles once we do a once over quickly ourselves. In most cases we end up getting them all, but when we don't get them all, we just call it a day and wait for the next lot **shrug**.
At any rate, don't get so upset, its just another aspect of the game they added to give us some cool buffs. Don't get so caught up in getting every single collectible! They don't even spawn all at once either. So u cant normally get them all instantly anyway. I hope they fix the hidden ones tho! [removed]
Hello ddakka,
Please keep it PEGI-7 :(.
Thank you,
Sinister-King
I've made a map of several locations where I've found collectibles hiding invisibly, and I think all previous posts show locations on this map...
When looking for collectibles, double-check each of these locations.
I feel other users' pains and I know it can be exccedingly frustrating, though there's not a lot the studio can do about it.
TSO, like most strategy titles these days, use Voxels - a process where the world is created through separate layers of terrain on top of each other (a good example of this are layers of the Photoshop image). This means collectibles could be just about anywhere it is ok to place other forms of terrain; such as mountainous obstacles, being completely invisble, but still be only on the main island where settlers walk, not the smaller landmasses...
There is, however, a way to alleviate problems with spawning collectibles in your home zone. If you find all those you can that are visible, leave the game for a while (roughly 15-20 mins), clear your browser cache and then open it again, there is a 50/50 chance the collectibles will respawn somewhere else on the island, now accessible.
Ok from what I've established NOT ALL of the collectibles appear on the map at any one time. At most, the game only seems to be able to spawn 28 of them regardless of how many appear in a challenge - waiting for users to collect all they find - and then the rest appear a few minutes later.
This could be part of the reason why people have difficulty finding them, so users should be patient.
Has anyone else experience collectibles hiding under other collectibles? Twice now i've removed a scarecrow and found something else in the same spot
Just had the same problem on witch of the swamp, the bronze cauldron was in the very bottom right hand corner of the map, stoopid!
Let's forget for a second that each day there are at least 1 or 2 collectibles on the Home Island still hidden so well under some tree that are impossible to find, or that we get tons of barrel when we need them for the craft of very few buff in the Mayor house (and some of my friends over the years accumulated 7000 of them! while me after only 5 months of the game I did accumulated 2K) what is really funny is that after more than a year from the beginning of this thread the hidden collectibles on the new adventures (like for the last Easter 2015 event) still end up hidden behind a rock! I had to use one of the Fairy Light to found it.
And do we wanna talk about the fact that there is less and less collectibles on the adventures islands? Like can't remember the last time that I got a bronze culdron from an adventure (and they are not even in the market so can't craft the buff without spending gems) or the fact that the last 2 adventures I did I got 0 collectibles in the adventure map!!
well what to say...is that so you can squeeze more money out of the players or just another bug?
P.S. while on it check the percentage of drop also of either items such the rewards for the adventures. I got way too much exotic wood compared to granite from it. Eiher increase the amount of granite in the adventures (especially the ones for the level 36) or reduce the requirements for those buildings (crossbowsmiths, coinage, gold smelters, titanium smelters, etc..)
You are making this game way to hard for the newbee. Regards
I started a thread "Those Pesky Collectables" - maybe it should be merged with this one. But here's my favorite so far...
There is another one in Dark Priests.

See my thread "pesky collectibles" for additional pictures. Can be quite annoying. However, I must point out:
1) They are not mandatory
2) Not finding all of them is no loss - there is no bonus for finding every one (although I think there should be)
3) While I agree that ones "under" other objects is a little unfair, they are not supposed to be easy to find.
If it's that frustrating then just ignore them.
So this issue is back..
I'm having a Scarecrow at this location.
@devs: How about checking the revision number before copy&paste code?
They used to do this all of the time, we had them hiding in rocks, on the Mayor's house, in dark castles etc etc. Maybe the feature is back to make finding pumpkins more difficult?
I had been noticing that approx. a month ago the collectibles stopped appearing in the dark castle. Have they finally stopped in the improved warehouses? I haven't seen any in rocks yet...
got an "invisible" rock one today - was having them inside imp storage too last week
I've had scarecrow and herbs appearing inside storage in the last few days, and others completely hidden behind buildings ( acceptable given the variation on every ones island ). Not had any in rocks as yet, but my main issue is remembering to search on archipelago, twice now I've done a second ` intensive search ' on main island, only to scroll down and see a barrel sat right out in the open on expansion....duh!
Well.. this is a new spot for me...
I never noticed a collectible here before today:

I don't think it's supposed to be there, is it?
Collectibles hiding (in rocks etc)
Merged. Thank you.
Pumpkin collectables, the text always says you have collected "one" even when a check on the achievement or storehouse shows more than one being added to stock.
Mind you, most of the time it is just one, and they don't appear very often. First five collections had none at all.

This happens fairly frequently in the different rocks in that area

Merged
Yup, I find them there from time to time. And there is still the issue of them showing up in the improved storehouses. Can be a bit annoying, but I've learned to specifically check those places if I've done a 'general search' and came up short.
Should be fixed regardless.
This has been happening to me too lately.

I also found one behind some rocks before, this should be fixed.
