When I go here, I know the general system of course, but your not being specific , so I asked for a clarification of your team 'skilled explorer' rather than about the bacics of the game and about your bedtimes :)

So let me reformulate:
You state that 'skilled' find 50% more footballs than unskilled. You havent clearly defined your term 'Skilled explorer' - In terms of finding footballs that it is - that I dont see as explained from within the game. Is it a full investment of manuscripts, tomes and codices in an explorer, or is it enough to invest a single manuscript and in case so, in which skill three slots should the books be be invested.

Can you be totally specific about what it takes for an explorer to move from unskilled to 'skilled' such that he finds 50% more footballs

I have stated on the first post what skills I used:

"The upgrades I used were T hunt time reductions and sturdy shovel", Any other upgrades beyond that have no relevance to this event and should be just upgraded in a way that either suits your play style or allows you to continue to upgrade to the next level of skills.

I really enjoyed the testing of it, Only regret is that it ended so abruptly on the test server and I didn't quite get to finish it off. But hopefully it will help some people make informed choices during this event.

How about "Trouble-seeker"? It has contributed with a second loot in earlier events..

I started my practice match this morning, but the ball besides my face, the tab in the provision house have disappeared now and therefore I cannot continue with the quests or adventure!!! HELP

Ravels advice was to cancel it and inform support, I believe, Here this is Ravels own words "Cancel the adventure but make sure to contact support also and let them know just in case. "

Unfortunately I didn't get enough time on test, Its gonna be a wait and see. What worry's me more is no one has really played this since may 15/16th, What state are we gonna find this in!

So I was reading its best to wait for adventures to pile up before doing them with 1 day premium to maximize but the event also has a second quest chain too right? so best to wait for the first 4 adventures to complete the first chain and do the last chain with the last 3 adventures?

Hello, The second quest chain consists of 6 sub quests, them 6 sub quest are just complete xyz football match's, In all honesty there is no real reason to even give the "quest chain" a second thought, Its a bit of an unimaginative let down really. I personally have around 6-7 1 day premiums so I will break it up a little, Its down to individual circumstances, As long as all 7 get completed on premium time, its no big drama how when and where :)

OH. I guess there is also a 'waiting' quest chain right? So I suppose yea. You could just do them all in 1 day. Since the second quest chain will appear as waiting queue until you finish the first... I'm assuming that will be the case.

On the test server the second chain became available as soon as you completed the first chain, within seconds. It isn't like Easter where they are spaced 7 days apart, The only thing holding us back is the calendar. I personally think its a shame more wasn't done with the quest line, its very uninspiring.

where do you get the first group stage match from? is it as a reward for completing the introductory quest because i don't see it showing as one of the rewards?

Every match is received from the calendar, behind every green door is one match :)

1st thanks for this, it helps.

2ndly, from what I can see there is no reason to rush doing even the practice match - you may as well wait/produce all the buffs you'll need for all matches, and then blitz all of the matches on 1-2 days premium closer to the end. Or is there a compelling reason not to? will you miss out on stuff in the meantime?

can this guide be stickied? would make it easier for folk to find

I sent out 17 explorers on short searches, 5 of my unskilled guys came back with footballs. 4 of them with 6 balls 1 with 3 balls. Is it possible that BB have increased the number of balls found since this event was seen on test?

Yes it is :) The last we saw of it on Test was May the 15th/16th, I have been expecting some changes, Was there any differences with the other collectables? I will update the guide with your findings. Thank you for sharing the information.

While It was on test I did ask BB for short/medium/long search's to be changed so they offered the same perks that very long did (just in smaller quantities) Maybe they acted upon that? It seemed on test to penalise the newer player, I just didn't think that was right.

Geting footbals from normal adventures is that still a thing, or it was droped?

I can not say for fact, What I can say is, I don't believe footballs are dropped from normal adventures. I could not find a single person yesterday to have received them and I looked for hours.

Two people on Northisle this morning said that footballs were dropped from normal adventures, but since then everyone else I've spoke to has denied that. I have a suspicion that the earlier reports were mistaken.

I would like them to drop as much as anyone else, I will look again today see if anyone else has had some luck with this, Did they say what adventure and how many?

I can't remember the details, sorry. I was fielding the help calls about the licenses for a couple of hours and the question of these footballs from normal adventures was raised occasionally. On two occasions (and I'm pretty sure two different people) the answer was that adventures do return footballs. Maybe the responders were referring to last year, maybe not realising we were talking about normal adventure not the football ones. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

<edit>I've remembered something else - on the first occasion the responder said something like "yes you can, but there's a very low chance"</edit>

It seems they too are really having trouble confirming footballs from loot, If it was a handful of players saying this, Then sure it could be low drop rates, But when its 5 game worlds.... I will check the German forum in a minute.

Starting any adventure does indeed fufil the requirement of starting practice match for the quest chain.

I see in TO more trades offering corners and telescopes, than there are offering other rare collectibles. Could it be that corners and telescopes are not that rare as the other ones? This would make sense because then it would appear that most of the buffs are made using one common and one rare collectible.

The earlier games don't really require corner kicks and passes, Its not until the event matures that everyone will then be after telescopes and corners, Currently its all about fouls and headers :)

I don't know about rare and common - but I can tell you I have 80+ wet grass and telescopes and 70 helmets, and have found 0 shoes.

I still have not had a red Fist on my island and I have found every collectable twice a day, so I can't complete the first quest.

Come to that I have been given some red fist so that I can make the buffs for the matches, they are very rare for me.

this will cost

7 helmet
13 spring
6 twister
56 banana
50 stud
63 wet grass
36 grease
15 adv paper
15 red colour

Total 255 collectables for the first group stage

Costs can come down using pass and header instead of just fouls but I was trying to give a rough aprox of the total amount of collectables needed.
