So why are you not requesting that the Sector Deeds be coin purchases instead?
Surely, if BB put them at 200k coins each (roughly same value as 8500 stalks) they would alter the entire economy to something near what you want.

If you wish to buy sector deeds losing only the coins you have in stock then may I may a radical sugestion that you use trade to convert coins to stalks.
The first rule of this game is "Buy Gems!". The secound rule is "The first rule will never be changed!". Prices of rare items (bought by gems or droped in gems adventures) will be always very high because, most of the players dont want to spend money in gems and there's some hard workers players that have gold coins and they can beat any offer for a rare item. Gem buyers can access gold coins easy buy selling rare/gem items and they will overprice common resources they need to buy. if you "remove" gold coins from hard workers (non gem buyers) few players can buy rare items then, gem buyers cant make that profit from selling gem items and only buy gems for their natural needs = BB dont make profit = end game
+1
Actually ... the first rule of the game is " follow the tutorial " and the second ... " don't spend , build or do anything without a quest asking for it !!!!
There is absolutely no reason to spend large amounts of money in this game.
Over the years all " gem bought " items have been available in events which do not require gems to gain those buildings or items.
It does require patience tho and that might be what gems can offer you.... the ability to not be patient and move on faster in the game.
That is a choice, not a rule !!!!
The ability to " save " your weekly gem reward for daily login, will alow you to spend gems in events so ... you can actually not spend
any money and still get everything you want / need in the game.
I am surprised how little coins are used in the new content. Guess BB has some data that suggests amount of coins in economy isnt constantly growing..
dont see the relevance. when there was much less coins in the game gems were still sold. if coins would be removed altogether gems would just be sold for something else.
although i have spend some euros in the game, it was more of a way to say thank you for the nice 3-4 years i am playing.
When i started, the real help was the veteran general. I paid for him. It was i think the only thing "needed" all else where optional.
Ofc, after some events, eventually veteran would also be given as an event reward, but then you had to wait.
Even without it, and just leveling up, completing quests, using daily login's, then be patient enough to buy the first gem pit, the thing goes on automatic pilot. Then after a while you get the second gem pit, then the third comes much sooner, and in 2, maybe 2.5 years you have a lot of gems, for free or almost for free.
BB already lost at the second they added more than one pit available for gems and not real cash. Players can get the remaining or even the first one for "free". Now with the extra levels it will be even "easier" as you get gems from level ups and level up achievements.
BTW there was a thread about this at test:
http://forum.tsotesting.com/threads/21461-More-gem-pits
I don't really see the need for more gems pits, If one plays smartly its more than enough to buy everything worthwhile as it is now.
Need and want are two entirely different matters of course! :)
I notice that on test server we had exotic wood trees with 100 deposit on new island, but on live server this morning they only have 10 deposit. Don't know if bug or just a rebalancing. seems stingy to me.
Preparatory steps for new content:
1. Expect bugs
2. Expect crashes
3. Pretend you read this a week ago
Some players made some good comments and gave good suggestions for preparing. I will add some of my own thoughts.
steps to follow as i see them.
1- clear new islands
2-build new production chains
3- go after Alibaba...
To do this for me will require a few steps.
1- clear new islands
-as i see it (and i could be wrong) clearing these islands will require troops we already able to make. So no need to reshape weapons right away.
-Beans will be my first priority as without them clearing these camps will do me no good. So get Beans and get ALLOT
-make more bread-men... as much as possible as we will kill thousands and thousand of troops over the next year alone. Bread will not remain at current price.
-Do FT adv almost all the time until i reach levels i can build all new buildings and troops. FT's will have to suffice for my XP needs also. At same time i think my Granite levels will slowly increase to at least enable me one of each of the new buildings.
2-Build new production chains
-Once i reach the needed levels i can build the new building chains on the newly cleared islands.
-this will probably eat up every last resource i own.
-currently i will not pursue the new exologs chains as i feel the adv will suffice in supply for a while to come still.
-Granite i do want so after clearing 3rd island i will focus heavily on keeping that production line running as much as possible. This will require allot of 4x buffs so will be collecting rainbows or any other worth while buffs like the zombies in Halloween.
-i make enough horses so i wont be doing anything extra for the new horsemen on the way for now.
-Platinum will prolly become my main weapon focus after level 56. no explanation needed i think.
-Population i will have to somehow get to 20K. this is still a way off but i must find a way to get there. FM's an WT's here i come...
3- Go after Alibaba
-This is still speculation atm but i think after level 56 i will try to be ready to do the new adv's as much as possible.
- hopefully i will have a good stock of bread-men and high population to do the adv continuously.
-looking forward to new challenges.
4- general
-collect assassins, arrows and pults as much as possible if they remain available after the removal of star coins.
-personally i think BB is killing the fish from the economy with the new buff costing only meat... should be meat and fish then its balanced. if not i will get rid of many fish farms and those fish farms will become worthless probably.
-I think doing allot of SA and Nords for XP rush will be a mistake because i might reach level 56 with not enough granite and beans to do anything with my newly unlocked buildings. :confused:will focus on RB and FT's for most of the time to ensure enough granite and beans as i clear the islands also.
-Mostly i am going to have fun balancing out the new chains and deciding on how to position myself in the market around the new weapons.
I also dont like bugs  and extended maintenance but i am willing to live with it for the sake of many more years of fun.
to gem or not to gem. I enjoy the game allot and want to keep it around so i gem. this helps other players and myself an of-course BB... I know some like to play unpaid but i have more fun using gems balanced and getting a bit of a time bonus from the game in reaching stuff.
All in all I plan to have ALLOT of fun with you all and really look forward to the new stuff.
My Loooong 2 cents
hahaha
