Whats weird is my wife is in the game playing along with some of our guild members and I cannot get in. Would be nice if the devs told us whats going on.

I have the same problem - also the same problem on US-servers and german servers get a bit further but dont connect to game - and testserver is completly unavailble

I can now login but when it gets to the progress screen before the map appears it stays there.

addy r not working right. some attacks go in but they get stuck. no win or lose they just get stuck for ages then suddendly without notice the gens r back in their garrisons while still fighting in the camp. other gens wont even attack. get the drum role to say they r going but dont go so have to send them several times before they eventualy set off. the tick goes from the gen to show they r attacking but a few mins later the tick is back to say they r waiting for orders. so the attacks r getting cancelled or stuck.
So my advice is dont start any addy or expos till the problem is fixed.

I don't believe it will load... I've waited at least 10-15 minutes, the request to http://w01bb01.thesettlersonline.com/authenticate fails over and over.
By the way, who thought it was clever to make an authentication request of all things with http instead of https???

For me I was able to authenticate but after that it gets stuck on the information screen before your island appears.
Am back in after waiting for it for 37 mins.
Latest info on german forum ( 5 pm GMT ) : still no estimate on when done

Not the first time afterall, its not often this kinds of serverproblems, but still not the first time either...
My game froze about 45 mins ago now- gave it a few mins to see if it would fix itself but had no choice but to refresh. Trying to log back in but no luck - I get as far as the blue screen but my tick won't turn green- stays greyed out. The most annoying thing is I'd just accepted invite to a ww adv, didn't even have a chance to send gens. Luckily my sister had managed to log on so she sent a message to the player who started adv to kick me but game won't let him kick me so now am just delaying everyone :(
