I have the same problem. My fb login cannot be connected with legacy account. I have sent a request to support 2 days ago and still no answer!
Are they trying to force us out of the game? don't know what else to say!

Can I continue to use my Legacy account to play The Settlers Online?
For now, yes, you can continue to use a Legacy account to access your The Settlers Online profile. However, our long-term wish is to have all players who currently use Legacy accounts to link their The Settlers Online profiles to Ubisoft accounts. Currently, the migration from Legacy to Ubisoft accounts is optional, however, it will become mandatory at some point in the future. We will notify all you with at least two-weeks notice before we intend to make migration to Ubisoft accounts the primary method.
I have had to reconnect mine to FB, disconnected it, waited 24 hours for e-mail sent report to support, waited an additional 24 hours sent another request to support was logged out of the game still no e-mail or response from support so had no option but to reconnect it, I had better not have lost my game tomorrow, that's all I can say
i set up a ubisoft account some months ago when instructed but because legacy account still worked i did nothing further however i have now tried to link my existing settlers account to this ubisoft account but it wont link and just sets up a new settler island account. having been a user for several years and spent a lot of money in the process i dont want to start again. i contacted support who have said that mu ubisoft account has accidentally linked to another newly made settlers account. they suggested that i create a new ubisoft account but i cant as i only have one email address and i dont want a new email account! any advice on what i can do?
If you are using gmail you can use alternate address for the same email account.
Example:
If your email address is name@gmail.com you can use name+ubi@gmail.com and the emails sent to that address will go to name@gmail.com inbox.
You can add anything to the end of your email account name using + and the emails go to the same inbox.
Also gmail doesn't care about . in the address so name@ n.a.m.e@ and na.me@ are the same.
Follow the advice for level 1 account on the guide:
* Log in to your wrong level 1 account
* Go to profile settings on our home page
* Delete your wrong lv1 TSO profile (please note: this will take 14 days)

I followed the instructions and successfully logged The Settlers off of my FaceBook account. I then waited over 20 hours for the email to help me do the next step. It never came. There is no way to let you know it never came. Including posting this comment. I had to relink my account to FaceBook so I could be logged in, so that I could in fact make this comment. Not really acceptable. Yet again another issue I find that seems like, in part, you work to make it so players will get frustrated and stop playing.
The first time / issue is the "Nontech support", as I prefer to call it. Email a tech support issue and once your Tech Support team responds you give us 24hours to reply or you close the ticket?!?! Are you kidding?!?! You are aware, I hope, that people have lives, beyond playing your game, and that replying in a quick manor is simply a ridiculous expectation on your part. But as that is your expectation I guess not. Sad. Just sad.
Back to my current issue. As there are no instructions as to what to do if you do not get an email after disconnecting your account from FaceBook, would someone please respond to this message and let me know what I should do to hopefully connect my account to the Uplay account I would like to use?

i contacted support and they have told me to contact ubisoft support however they have not told me how to contact them. the link on front page only goes to settler support! please can someone provide a link to ubisoft support? thanks

FYI, I also was told by support to contact ubisoft support back in December when I first started trying to migrate my account.
I did contact ubisoft support and they told me I had to contact TSO support. That was the extent of the "help" I got from ubisoft.
After 2 months of struggling with this issue, I finally contacted BB Trafffer who was very helpful and finally was able to sort out what was wrong.
I tried to follow the guide to change from Facebook and like others, its been over 24 hours without receiving and email so I have reconnected as I don't want to loose access to the game especially with an upcoming event on the horizon.
do we have any idea how long it will be to get the email please, i am back playing via FB for now so just waiting for the email so i can disconnect again and reconnect with my new password, as i connect through FB so no password before.

the issue has been resolved and everyone should now be receiving emails shortly after the request. Note - you can still use your Facebook account to play.
I dont get the option to logon with my legacy account :( - It showed a couple of weeks ago, but as I couldn´t remember my password I couldn´t proceed) Have sent several tickets to support but they are all unanswered -

I post this message for my friend ,he has no access to his account anymore becouse he have not migrated from legacy to ubisoft login.
Legacy login is not available anymore on start page,only ubisoft login.
This makes it impossible to migrate legacy to ubisoft,the only thing that happens is you create a new level 1 account.
My friend is worry he has lost 9 year of playing this game.
Can someone explain what to do now?

Dear settlers,
After the elimination came as a surprise for some settlers and thus various problems arose, we would like to give you the chance to migrate again for a short time by reactivating the legacy login. You can find the instructions here .
Should you still want to wait until the legacy button is completely removed and do NOT migrate, you should check the following data:
• The email that is stored in your account. You can view and change them under "My Profile" on the start page. If it is no longer up-to-date, please change it.
• Remember your passwords. The browser's memory function will not help you. You have to know the passwords and type them in by hand. Should you no longer know your passwords, please use the legacy button under "Forgot your password" to resend and remember!
Please never share your passwords! We would never ask for it either.
