Oh happy new year settlers players, this is what we get for being faithful for years. Nice one BB, get your game together, this is ridiculous. So much for happy hour... that aint gonna happen. what a waste of time and effort.
Its not the end of the game, its just another one of BB's stuff ups as usual

I would not necessarily argue that BB do not stuff up, but even if you stuff up all the time you can be hit by unexpected glitches you are not responsible for and given this seems to have been server wide and subsequently sorted for some servers I would not assume that this instance as entirely at BBs door. even when the game was running relatively smoothly things happened. That it hasn't been sorted for us here is annoying but for once to quote someone much wiser and smaller than myself "patience you must have".
ofc it could just be my guildmates fed up with my christmas quizzes that have sabotaged the server. Sorry everyone, mea culpa.

I was on earlier but the game booted me and then I couldn't get settlers page to load at all. Now I can log in but game comes up with connection to server is lost every time my game tries to load.
Me too, just get hammer man when trying to get to main page. Connection to server is lost..... just like any technical support. ... Happy Hour . . . hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahah
How fortunate that there is a happy hour running, so you can buy gems to replace the presents lost because you can't send out explorers. That Ubisoft, always thinking of the players.
Let's see now. They have managed to get US servers up and running, so we know they are aware of the problem and have a solution that has worked. So of course, home page has an alert to let us know what's going on and give an estimate of the time to get things going worldwide, right? hahahahahahahaha of course not.

just adding my voice to the list - can't load the game, sometimes it almost loads but keep getting hammer man - a few more hours from now before they're awake in Germany so I guess I'll try again when it's morning here in Canada - have another glass of eggnog and good night :)
I was able to stay logged in until now. Saw on global that the servers were down and if you wanted to stay in you couldnot log out or else you wouldnot be able to get back in. All was working fine except for the mail, everytime I tried to open it (e.g. when explorers came back) I got the pop-up 'connection to the server has failed'. I only had to wait for a while though and the game would continue as normal. I loggd out just now just to see if things were oke and fixed by now but no, it is as said: I couoldnot get back in. The game seems to load, but when the blue screen comes up, you almost immediately get 'connection ... failed'. I play using the old client, not the new one, and I am mostly satisfied. Hopefully this post has been somewhat helpfull.

Can't get Northisle to load.
Starts a slow loading splash screen, then the man with the hammer appears saying "connection to server lost".
Can see the generic avatar behind, and an empty box tothe right of screen, about the same size as an adventure window.
Game then crashes out to a white page with "Http/1.1 Service Unavailable".
Address bar by then has changed to "wo2bb01" , so pretty obvious which of your servers has broken. :(
Just came from a successful Newfoundland session, which although playing up badly with zone refreshes and laggy response, so it's not like the last time where your dodgy maintenance killed all 5 servers for me, so looks like server-side problem, not my browser or account.
FYI,playing the Unity version, not client. If I get time, might try the mobile phone client just to maintain integrity of login bonus and calendar sequence, even if that works, too small a screen to be playable.
Got kicked off the game last night and unable to get back on. Tried again this morning, goes straight to hammer man, shows a different avatar in the background with no resources at all. Working all day today so even if it does come back up, no presents for me as not able to get explorers out. I know technology can glitch sometimes but this is taking the mickey now

Update, just tried Northisle using client version on mobile phone, loading splash screen was faster but still ended up with the man with the hammer. So server is unavailable via Unity and client. :(

yep, after being kicked out of game & unable to connect to server yesterday, later in the evening the homepage was reachable. Still hammerman upon log-in. Still the same now. And indeed, no messages on homepage. Best nfo in this forum thread
i want some info , surely they must know by now , i really and getting to dislike BB even more each day

I tried a few browsers, clearing cache, but after a first message 'server not reachable', i get now a tso console view, all empty, not loading and after a while again the same not available message.
After 12 hours of unsuccessful attempts at logging in, I got a reply from my ticket regarding the log in issue :

If I login and all my mines are empty and I can't open the Christmas door I'm officially done with this piece of junk game. The absolute nerve for the game to just be broken and them to be putting up a happy hour is incredible.
