[Guide] Killste : Collected Adventure Guides by Various Authors

I have a few remarks about the guide The Nords by XiozZe. The second block (camps 6,7 and 8) doesn't work I lost 109S trying it, and after doing some calculations, it seems that the total time for genral A is about 245, when the total time for general C (with me a vet gen killing the camp in 2 rounds) is 260. Am I making a mistake here?

Secondly, the setup for camp 10 is wrong, the guide says '100 HouseCarl 50 Valkyrie 10 JamViking', but when I played it it was '20 JomsViking 50HouseCarl 50 Valkyrie 15 Berserk'. Can this please be updated, since what he uses to kill that camp doesn't work anymore. I used 21R 1S 72C 126XB.

This guide does not include a setup for a vet general. Will this be added in the near future? I have a fairly good one based on XiozZe's guide if you need it Tage.

Have spotted what I think is a minor mistake on your Vet Gen with LBs setup for

Outlaws

One VETERAN general with Longbows
Three NORMAL generals using 3 round blocks

• Units needed, average: 590R 70M 177S/163E 386C 96B 150LB (1467 units)
• Units needed, maximum: 651R 70M 180S/163E 386C 246LB (1533 units)

It should be 178S, since in your setups for camps 4 to 7 we need:

From A to Camp 4) 80 Roughnecks, 100 Rangers
BLOCKING NORMAL general: [27S 172C (-)] {160 - 260 seconds of fighting}

From B to Camp 6) 40 Roughnecks, 80 Guard Dogs, 60 Rangers
BLOCKING NORMAL general: [5S 195C (-)] {160 - 220 seconds of fighting}

From C to Camp 5) 150 Roughnecks
BLOCKING NORMAL general: [145S (-)] {160 - 260 seconds of fighting}

From D to Camp 7) 1 Metal Tooth, 2 Skunks
VETERAN general: [3R 1S 246LB (0R - 2R - 3R)] {40 seconds of fighting}
VETERAN general: [3R 1S 96B 150LB (0R - 2R - 3R)] {40 seconds of fighting}

27S + 5S + 145S +1S totals 178S

In any case, faced with 1S less I ended up using this setup for the camp5 block:
135S 19C

I also got an ingame message from HeikkiN (thanks mate!) claiming the same...
that the 250 granite should be 350 and that the 150 gc should be 15.
I'll do the adjustments on Monday when I get access to the file at work...

The reason I had 150 gc was based on a loot report on the test server, here:

Is that Tropical Sun guide already good? Because last time i saw someone was saying the blocks werent working at the moment...

A friend (Gwananggaeto1) and myself have been working on a map for a while now. All the calculation, settings and counting on this map was done by Gwan, so the credit goes to him really. I hope you enjoy the map, if we get some nice feedback, we will look to do another with Cannons and perhaps even consider a short version (6k more xp than normal short version for only a few kills more).

Unless specified, you can send generals straight after each-other (no delay) provided they do not leave the same time as eachother. This is especially important for Position A and F blocks.

Thanks also to PrincessAlly for some of the positions and Genesis guides before then.

You must realise that all reports saying some block is not working are depending on some objective and subjective factors.
One of them is reporters own ability of doing it (if the guy is bad at blocking, will you expect him to succeed it? and what kind of report will you expect from him? ).
Also depends on timing (if he blocks on a busy server time which in effect adds a lot of lag you expect success? )
Different understandings of the guides (some guides have tricky wording so you should pay close attention to what it says and deduct carefully what you should do).

If you see a lot of people complaining about same thing, then yes, there must be a problem, one or very few reports are only a simptom common to more than one disease.

Thanks for replying Polymer but the guide had in big red letters saying blocks werent working anymore but now those letters are gone so i guess its "working fine" now. :)

Doesn't matter, I've now cut the guide down to just this block if you want to use camp 25 as an alternative lootspot, leaving you free to do the big boss battle on yor own.

So, here is Gerontius' modified Sons of the Veldt guide, with an alternative lootspot position

Ok, I'm doing Horseback for the first time, since I see alot of people using guides from this thread, I thought to myself, I wanna try it aswell, and start using thoose blocks, can aswell learn it sooner than later, I'm sure in the epic adventures is way to expensive not to.

Johan, don't worry, the other blocks, although shorter do still work fine unless the system lag is particularly bad, and in that case nothing would save you anyway.
It is a bit confusing though, if you do want to do the 1st bowman block, then the required units should be 115B or more if you also want to do a later alternative.

Just one that you'll have to learn your own preference for, if Tage wrote in every possibility, these guides would be extremely large and very confusing.
Most of us have our own favourite variants that don't quite tally with the guides.

Erm. Yes it did. That wasn't changed at any time.

Good guide on SE

Three small remarks:
1. "DOUBLE VETERAN SETUP For single veteran, block C27 twice (first time with 1R only) and attack the leader camps one at a time[...]"
C27 is killed in all versions. C28 is the culprit.

2. The riskiest block is
C56: 2 bulls, 75 sabrerattler, 75 gunman (text says officers)
22R, 1E, 146C, 81K (22R) - ONE round. 3-4R more for 2 rounds less

The intercept region of C55 is so small that it can be done with 1R or the distance between B and vet can be made smaller.

3. C10: 1 crazy cook, 100 officers, 75 caltrop
2 waves: 100R and 118R, 21M, 111K;

Will have to check, but intercept region of C55 is actually quite large since the general travels through it to get to the leader camp. And you can`t make distance smaller if I recall, the spots where you can place generals are quite limited, can do that only by moving the black line and asking to send veteran earlier I think. I will check that soon. And with it taking only one round thanks to you life is much simpler. Used the setup, missed that looking for the less losses possible.

To move veteran in another position, closer to his camp, would mean to bring him in a position where C55 will intercept (its area extends just a bit over that water, but enough it seems to intercept)

camp 15 in SOV is a pain i just kill it off with vet 59r 1s 100c 90xb (loss 43r 55c - 59r 1s 57c) this will cost ya cav but it saves time on recovery of 2 generals + it makes 3blocks not needed . lov the guide tho tx ! (sorry if this post isnt wer it should b)

What adventure is that (those troops on camp 15 in SE would result in a ... 100% loss) ?

Hi Polymer! Your SE guide is awesome, thanks a bunch. The adventure is not so awful now. I do have one small request though... would you be kind to make some small prints of the positions of the garrisons for blocks? It gets a bit difficult to guess the precise location of the general garrisons when placing for a block. Something like Tage does?

I've been using the Island of the Pirates guide by targe for awhile. I didn't have Elites so I made the following changes:

Garrison Position G2 (Camps 4-6, BLOCK)
Instead of blocking camp 4. I killed it off with:
52R 147S 1B

I've tried to find a combo that could work with a block but didn't like the risk involved.

Garrison Position G4 without Cannoneers (Camps 7, 9 and 10, BLOCK)
Camp 7:
2R 69S

Camp 9:
64S

This 2 blocks hasn't hasn't failed me (at least not yet).

Hope this helps anyone who doesn't have Elites yet.

Our guides require more elites than PrincessAlly, but both have less losses Per XP.

If you don't have 280 elites, or don't care about the extra XP, PrincessAlly's short guide is the best to follow.

If you don't have 280 elites, but want to play the full map, PrincessAlly's guide is the best to follow.

Working on a TDP 3lock for the church. First try this evening, but it failed, cause of fail positioning on 3rd general.
And the fighting rounds on camp 7 were too short, cause i did some mistake :/ .
As told the first time i tried to create a lock :) .

Now would you help me a bit, when there is time left ?
Cause i love playing Adventures just cause of the locks,and i am looking forward to optmize all of that adv. , i don´t know , maybe i am crazy :D .

Hi me again. Tried a second time, this time as a 2Lock.
Vet went to Church safe, but battletime of the locks where too short, troops lost :/ .
Got no time, but will tell when i get it, thinking about just 2 blocks.

I do need some help though and thought you guys might be able to help. When we were first given 'bounty hunter' adventure. I completely did not know what i was doing and cancelled it. The second time I bought it for 10 fish, again something went wrong. Now having done different ones, I'm sure I'd able to fly through this one and carry on doing my quests, but I cant purchase another one. Is there anyway I can get another bounty hunter adv?

I tried some other set-ups to give a longer blocking time:
Camp 7: 9R | 72C gives 4-8 (5.70) rounds so this one is a lot better than 3-4 (3.47) with ur set-up
Camp 8: 5M | 30E gives an average of 3.99 rounds as compared to your 3.80, just a little better not much
Camp 9: 1R | 77C gives a higher percentage of 4-7 rounds with average of 5.37, slightly better than urs

Now if you attack camp 10 with Vet & cannons you can get only 1 round instead of 2 like you would get with xbows...
Camp 10: 66R 1E 183K 1 round

On which camp did your block fail?

Edit: on second thought, if you have a vet camp 7 is killed with no losses so that leaves 8 and 9. Would you share your positions?

Regarding the block on camps 8 and 9 in DP,
I fear the battle on camp 10 (the bone church) would be too long for any block to last long enough.

Not that I've thoroughly checked what cannoneers (they would definitely be required)
and optimal setup of troops (one of each kind) would do for a fast demolision countdown...

Nowhere... as I myself never played Wild Mary, I haven't been able to make those needed maps...
A chance for those willing to count some flags and figure out how to place those generals... :)
