Sure, you don't have to wait for generals to recover, but why not? You can save time in Elite Barracks by doing some sacrificing attacks..

I really cant see why we all have to do things the same way. Some use p-house a lot some dont - and so what. As far as I know there is no right and wrong way to play this game.

The topic is the very long production time for those flutes. No one came with a reason why it had to take that long - so let others play the game the way they want to - and lets ask BB to please cut the production time.

The related quest is given at the very start of that venture and may free up space for garrisons, so the long production time is most likely not unintended.
