sorry I haven't mention my real question.
so If I click a camp from map, there's a best hall of fame list before I set up my own setting
what does max value based on?
http://i.imgur.com/9m3Kq.png
so the lower is better, or higher is better?
Lower is better.
The max value is the sum of the unit values that you can find in their tooltips, when you move the mouse over the unit icons. It shall represent their gold value (losses). These values have been calculated by some german guys on the german game. They aren't exact, because the values differ from world to world but they are good enough to sort the simulation results by their optimum.
I have a question for you too: What have you done with the display of the Hall of Fame? I can remember that there should be some colons after the attack wave numbers. Is that normal for you? Which browser is it?
The text „Full Size“ looks also strange.
do you mean columns?
I crop full size of it
if I click full size it direct me to this link http://settlersonlinesimulator.com/d...&fullsize=true
I'm using google chrome 17.xxx
this is full display on firefox 3.26

slightly different presentation on both browser
probably because I set ON autotranslate to english for chrome.
:D
This should be the reason, yes! But why do you use the translate function? Isn't the english version of the simulator good enough? :)Quote:
probably because I set ON autotranslate to english for chrome.
it doesn't work if I click map from adventures tab, simulator goes back to original language.
that's why I set autotranslate on.
Please try to describe exactly what you did. I can't see a problem.
-> select english language
-> choose an adventure from the adventure tab
-> click on the skull icon
-> click on (Map)
-> choose an enemy camp
-> ...
That works for me!
Which adventure did you choose?
[edit] Ah okay, Roaring Bull doesn't work. Any other adventures?
previously it also doesn't work with Rich.
but now everything it's ok.
well but it doesn't end here.
There's a wrong input on camps over adventure map on simulator, and I'm almost lost about 150ES because of it.

in game.
Well, I'm very sorry about that, but I cannot check everything by myself. I took the information from an extern source because I didn't have had the adventure. Nevertheless, everybody is able to take a look at the camp and check for hishelf before he's attacking. ;-)
I think I've mixed some of these 4 camps up. Thanks for the information. I'll fix it soon!
Regards
Okay, I've taken the information from siedler-vision.de. They are wrong there too. Could you please tell me the input on these 4 camps?
[edit] I think I've fixed it now!
How Hall of Fame is updated, i recently tried to find solution for 145 Roughneck on VTV map, and it showed me 1: 130R 70B 2: 100R 100C (with Veteran option on and filter on R, S, C, LB), tho after multiple of attempts i found quite optimal solution as 150R 1S 99LB, which as we can see is ridiculously different from the one shown. Just wondering will the calculation I've made ever put in to the Hall of Fame...
Btw superior job on this sim ;]
To update the Hall of Fame you have to visit the simulations of other users for the particular camp: http://settlersonlinesimulator.com/d...onen/?u_14=145
Then you have to click on „Jetzt erneuern“ to update the data. But, they will only become part of the Hall of Fame if the losses are worse or equal to the ones of the simulation which is already stored in the Hall of Fame. It wouldn't make sense to save better simulations if there are already worse results.Quote:
Diese Daten wurden für 24 Stunden zwischengespeichert. Sie werden in 1440 Minuten erneuert (Jetzt erneuern).
Oh its there already :D ...yeah that German writing wasn't really clear for me ... , will use that in future then. Thank you for the information ;)
The combat simulator is giving inaccurate results for the veteran general. I have tried using it on the vet setting with the EC adventures during the test challenge. I have lost several soldiers by relying on it.
50 recruits and 200 soldiers vs 120 strikers -> lost 50 recruits and 6 soldiers (simulator said 27 recruits max)
60 recruits and 190 soldiers vs 120 strikers -> lost 60 recruits (simulator said 26 recruits max)
These results are impossible.Quote:

120 strikers deal 1200 HP damage maximum to your units. 1200 HP / 40 HP of the recruits = 30 dead recruits maximum. After 1 round the battle is over in every case. So you must have done a mistake by yourself.

Morning,
I have published a feature list now where I explain the main functions of the simulator.
http://settlersonlinesimulator.com/d...r/en/features/
It would be nice if somebody would help me to translate it into good english. It's only translated with google translate.
Sorry, we have a performance problem again. The project folder on the server has been locked until 14:30. Perhaps, there is a solution earlier, but I cannot promise! It's out of my hand.
[edit] The project has been unlocked! Happy simulating!
cant get in the the page to day
Please refresh the page. It should work again!
Or what's the problem?Quote:

Excuse me, but, what do you want to say?Quote:

hi, nice work :)
question - is there a way to filter veteran generals out of the "other people's simulations" screen? I don't have one yet, and these days the entire screen can be full of veteran results and none from normal generals.
thanks.
Yes, of course! Just don't activate the veteran on the main page!
Thanks for answering :)
I closed and re-opened the main simulator page and without selecting veteran, ran a simulation. The "results of others" page was still full of veteran results though.
I cleared the cache and restarted the browser but it didn't change the behaviour on the results of others page.
It wasn't until I deleted cookies that the results of others page "forgot" the veteran setting.
Am using Chrome (up to date).
Thanks for a great tool !
When i go to http://settlersonlinesimulator.com/d...fsimulator/en/
I select at the right: 100 Thugs, 40 Guard Dogs, 60 Rangers
Next i make sure veteran is NOT selected.
Then if i click Simulate Battle i get a full list of example simulations where the army consists of 250 people or more. How is this possible? Shouldnt it only give this option when i have selected the veteran general?
I would speculate that you at some point before had selected veteran and that was recorded in the cookie.
I had to clear cookies from my browser to stop the Veteran armies appearing.
This would need to be confirmed by the author before being taken as fact.
Yes and it definitely works for me, also in Chrome. I can't see a mistake there.Quote:
Shouldnt it only give this option when i have selected the veteran general?
Please take a look at the URL. There you should find the following parameter:
You can set it to „false“. Then the results with over 200 units should disappear.Quote:
&limit-trigger=true
I think it had to do with the waves, for example, i got as result the following:
1: 40C
2: 104R 1M 75C 20 LB
I presume this means first send in 40C, then after defeat, send the army at nr2?
This was confusing for me, because when i clicked the link on default i only see wave 1 on the table, then if i scroll down i dont see the total for wave 2, unless i click the little round at the top next to wave. Maybe it's possible to make this a little bit more clear? Either way i love your simulator, very well done.
Hi, what do you mean with:?Quote:
then if i scroll down i dont see the total for wave 2
I simulated it too. Here's the result (it's a bit small, I zoomed out):
http://settlersonlinesimulator.com/d...tuff/waves.png
You get 3 boxes. The first one contains the result of the first wave. In the second one you find the result of the second wave and the third one contains the result of both waves.
Or are you searching for anything else?
Yes!Quote:
I presume this means first send in 40C, then after defeat, send the army at nr2?
Ok i get it now, it was confusing for me because when you are on the page, you only see the required army for the first wave, imho it is not that clear that u have to click the small circle at the top of the table to see what army you need for the second wave.
You can also just move your cursor over these bullets. Then you get a tooltip with information about the wave armies.
Swapped camps in Horseback
In map of Horseback adventure the camps numbered 15 and 16 in SidV numbering (http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/8...tacticmap1.jpg) are swapped. The leader camp with 90 Riding Amazonian and 10 Uproarious Bull should be in the left (http://imageshack.us/f/163/horseback.png).
Combat simulator is perfect tool, good work. (-;
Thanks, I've fixed it!
Chrome Safe Browsing sometimes shows following malware warning :
That should be repeatable at least using this link :Quote:
Warning: Something's Not Right Here!
settlersonlinesimulator.com contains content from supremacy1914, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else.
We have already notified supremacy1914 that we found malware on the site. For more about the problems found on supremacy1914, visit the Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page.
http://settlersonlinesimulator.com/d..._13=40&u_16=60
(if you don't see warning right away few clicks to Hall of Fame quickfilter should do it)
is another browsergame. There are some ads on my page for this game. I don't know why Chrome throws an error, but, in my opinion, browser warnings about viruses or malware shouldn't be a reason to worry about.Quote:
supremacy1914
Anyway, I'll remove these ads from the simulator until the malware warnings have disappeared.
Thanks for the hint.
Regards
[edit] It's like I thought: The problem exists since 03/07/12 obviously because of an user posting on the forum of supremacy1914 that contains a link to an infected website. That is why Google has blacklisted the website of the browsergame. Now you get warnings in Chrome and Firefox because Firefox uses this blacklist. There should be a solution in some days. So you don't need to worry about it.
[edit] The problem has been solved by the admins of supremacy1914.
Hi Asipak,
I've used you're battle simulator for a while now, and it's one of the best I've used so far.
I'm a Dutch speaking gamer on the Newfoundland Server, and I'm a guildleader too.
There are some people in my guild who don't understand the language very well, and I wonder if there's a possability that I can help to translate your simulator into Dutch, or that you can explain me exactly how to calculate the battle, so I can make a simulator in Dutch language myself.
I think that a translation into Dutch will be the best, but I don't know if that's an option for you.
I use the English version of the simulator, but I've noticed that the text for the needed and lost units remain in German.
I also have some remarks on some of the adventures, because in those adventures there are several camps with the same amount of enemy's in, but in your simulator, those camps are only counted once, so the totals of the units to use, and the totals of the units lost are not quite exact. If you like to have a list of the adventures with wrong totals, I will make one...
Greetings,
Cheetahke
Nothing easier than that.Quote:

I know about this fact. When I've started to add these camps to the database, I left out duplicate camps, because there was no feature that showed the totals and the needed troops. If you want, you can do a list, to help me to find the missing camps. Thanks.Quote:

As you can see, when I copy the text for the totals, and put it inhere, the kind of units are not shown. Is it possible, if you change something for those totals, that you put the short terms for the units next to the numbers (like R for recruits, C for cavalry, and so on)? That will make it far more easier to know what kind of units to use (thinking about new starting people)...Quote:

I will ask in my guild if it is necessary to translate the unit names and the resource names, but I doubt it, because in the game, those names are written in English, and atm everybody uses those, but I will translate them for you :DQuote:
