I followed instructions but still cant play. I can log in but then connection error appears.
I tried all BB_Ravel said in IE (where i usually play) but it didnt help at all.
However in Firefox I had no problems getting in at all, so trying another browser is advisseble I think.

Normally go in via IE not working today so tried through Chrome and it worked fine ?
I cannot connect via chrome (facebook based login). My friend can connect via IE on the same pc, with password based login.
Couldn't log in with firefox or chrome. (I refuse to use IE.) Tried all the things suggested and after a few attempts, I managed to log in with Firefox. However, I can log into the US server with chrome without any issues.
Tried these steps, it said that DNS cache was cleared but still not able to get into the game, any suggestions?????

Whoever said chrome://net-internals/#dns to clear the dns in chrome, ty, I have now managed to log in.
Did everything suggested. Finally got in with Firefox. Then I saw the dns clear tip for Chrome. Tried that. Got in with Chrome. Logged out and tried to log back in again, and I got the error back and a window saying in maintenance. No "yay" from me I'm afraid.

hi guys i was having problems logging in yesterday and today used cc cleaner and delete everything, sorted the problem and now back on buffing and trading again lol. Hope this helps you guys that still not able to log in.

Cleared the caches but thrown off the server twice, the second a fews seconds ago. Not my iternet provider since another playing Settlers is seated a yard away
Sorted for me now, thanks for solution. I use XP (SP3 and IE 8). I had no problems with Chrome which I used while IE was broken.

Hello, this is an update on my previous post where following the instructions given for clearing the cache had not worked. After restarting my PC I am now able to log in and play as normal.
Thankyou to the BB team for your attention to this issue.
I had the problem last night followed the steps but to effect (about 20 attempts), changed browser to firefox and got in, later (2 hours) logged out and tried again using chrome and got in first time.
UPDATE: A solution has been implemented.
Please follow the steps here (even if you have done so in the past) and let us know if the issue was solved.

Couldn't log in yesterday evening or this morning using Chrome or windows explorer.
Just got in using Chrome but not happy that my login reward chain was broken :((((

Opera works fine :-)
I haven't changed a thing since the last failure, no more refreshes or dns clearances, but now it works in Chrome again ... I would say yay, but the frustration of the last 24 hrs has drained me of yays.
