I just hate the fact that we are supposed to maintain a third army. Why can't we just use the new units on old adventures? This would make the transition smooth from the early 50s to the higher levels.
been away months but this has tweaked my interest anyone have any idea how much building space is on new islands they look kinda crowded to have too much usable space
lol yup. Pretty sure Black Knights would be a zero loss adventure if we could use the new units there.
I figured it will be a matter of finding which new resource ends up being cheapest, to produce or purchase. That then dictates which troop type is cheapest and then basically use those as the proverbial cannon-fodder.
So saying, I am probably going to sulk the first time I lose an MG full of Besiegers
None of us will reach level 75, the discussion is useless. Just do the math how much xp you make a day and how many years are needed to reach 1 billion.
I don't want to rush to level 75; when I get there I'll be asking for more levels! LOL
What BB have effectively done is to prolong the game (for those who still want to play without rushing it) for at least another year or 2 years, or maybe longer
I am grateful for this, because had they not done it, the only way forward would have been a deep decline in my opinion.
looking at test server the new AB adv's give 200k-500k xp per adv, without prem. so won't be too hard to lvl up
No, you can't create troops to make one new adventure every day. The same for the old troops. So nobody will reach 75 in 2 years.
Prove me with some math. :) Like how many troops you can create a day and the highest xp you can obtain with that.
And we are talking about resources too, the high level ones. The game will probably close before someone will reach level 75.
About the old adventures: It's a game design flaw that should not be fixed by creating even more powerful units.
As I demonstrated before, playing BK at the levels you can recruit the new units the xp gain and loot will be comparable to playing only the Lost Skull at level 50, thus being mostly a waste of time despite of its low losses and difficulty. If you fear people hoarding millions of granite, just remove BK from the store. Then the fact that you can have only 21 scouts will limit your BK'ing a lot.
However, of all the possible issues the worst is to have a third separate army and the fact that those units cannot be mixed. I wonder where Ubi/BB hire their game designers. There are dozens of solutions to fix all these "balance" and inconvenience problems, but somehow BB is unable to find them.

you can't compare BK with lost skull on that way. BK is better adventure. much faster you get resource and xp with BK. BK have better ratio losses vs loot and xp.
did i really need to explain you why lost skull not worth to play? not to compete with BK, just not worth to play, lost skull have very low xp and loot is bad. not worth to spend time on the adventure.
we can make max 1300 new units per day (with x3 buff). player will still have time to play BK/RB. we still will able to play BK/RB

Not to talk you'de be able to kill 99% of the camps of old adventures without even losing 1 troop of your owne... those first strike atackers with 100 damage and splash damage woul decimate even the hardest of old bandits... lol
If now they are not that hard... then they'de become boring...
Do I really have to explain once again that LS has a better relative experience value at level 50 than BK at level 55. You will need to play less LSs to go from 48 to 50 than BKs to get from 55 to 56, and the units you lose are practically free. Just do the maths and don't stack on the absolute experience values. Then ask yourself did you play mini adventures to reach 50? Probably not. Then you are very unlikely going to play BKs at level 55, because you'll get much more xp/loot from playing a bit more painful, but more resourceful adventures.
Yes, the loot value is better, but it could be penalized easily or BK could be removed from the store (this would be good because the scout adventure search is practically useless at the moment as you can buy everything you want). Also at level 55 you will be pursuing after much valuable resources than granite which are unavailable in old adventures.
They will go obsolete anyway after the people hit their 60s unless the adventure setting is going to change a lot. You will need _nothing_ from the old adventures at that point unless BB introduces some old type adventures with new loot.Quote:

As you can't play Alibabas before reaching 56, you will have to grind up that first 6 levels by doing some old adventures like VLT. 1,5 Million a day would mean about 20 VLTs a day. If you sleep 6 hours a night and count in the 4 hours you have to spend moving your generals around, you would have approximately 40 minutes time to complete each VLT. And of course, you would have to do this for 38 days a row.
I would say that even 5 VLTs a day is quite an achievement. By this pace it will take about five months to hit 56. For an average player I'd say it's good if they hit 56s in a year.
In the end (65+) 1,5 million a day is perhaps possible if you have a really strong economy.
Yup, even adding in the 400k xp for clearing the archipelago, we still need over 10 million xp to reach level 56 before starting adventures that use new troops.
Mmm, ten million xp... almost 600 RB (at around 17k xp per hit)... 400 on prem... bring on the grind
it will be a diference scenario if they alow us to lvlup with star coins

You can't create more than 7200 recruits daily, using a skunk in a level 5 barracks. Will get 20% more recruits in the level 6 one. Now tell me: how you will do 5 VLT's every day?
honestly i think bb are doing the wrong move too much boring grind i guess they think massive exp grind is content which backwards world is that from? i expect most 50's to quit before they even reach 70 gg BB you are killing your game with this
kinda also seems that they dont even play their own game if they did they would know how BORING this new exp wall/grind would be for ANY player they just login once or twice a week say hi in the chats then leave am i wrong?

Even with x4 buffs (and the joy of placing them every hour - tricky during the night though) you are looking at say 10k new troopers a day.
With a few nukes, let's presume you bring an FT down to 2k losses per run, so you can do 5 a day.
Surely; even with planning, having a healthy nuke stockpile and managing to buy more in trade, there is a finite duration for that style game-play.
Personally, I figured to do the 50 to 56 stretch using just an rtf HLT followed by SA fest and then Nords...
Each nuke is, theoretically, going to yield much better returns used on Ali Baba than it possibly can on FT

i tried it a few weeks ago, see if it was possible. Make sure you have the needed lb ready and a large amount of bowmen. Only rebuild rec.
SOLT doesn't take a lot of rec and bowmen, VLT can be done fast with some catapults on the bow eating camps.
And, of course, a huge pop helps

it is possible, but not every day. For 5 FT you need 12 hours or more, if you have 12 hours for playing settlers. why playing FT's when you can in 12 hours finish 10-12 SA?
10-12 SA you can play every day is not problem to make units.
Ft's have bad loses xp ratio, also they don't giving you more xp for less time.
best is SA, after SA nords and BK
Is anyone working on the Alibaba adventures using existing troops?
I assume that will be the way that many players may level up in the first 1/2 dozen levels or so. I'm interested in seeing what the guides may look like as they could give a view on what higher level troops to start building and investing in now.
