It would just be a filter applied to existing data. I can't imagine space on the servers being much of a consideration.
I see where you're coming from given the lag issues we've been experiencing for a long time, but this really shouldn't be an end-user concern. If the servers can't cope it's up to BB/Ubisoft to upgrade them. We're out of beta, the servers should be adequate.Quote:

Some new friends are low level so always at the far right, a pain to check if they are online.
Most friends are now level 50 so they take up first 2/3 'pages' before the lower levels are shown (being level 50 does not imply you are a 'best friend').

There is already room for another tab, it goes ALL, Friends, Guild, BLANK SPACE
Just make that "Online"
That is the bear minimum that needs to be done, but the whole thing needs reworking as Amy has said above.
..and get rid of the auto-refreshing script that also hijack focus (removes cursor) from chat and mail.
I rather get an updated list manually by clicking one of the sorting buttons.

I couldn't count the times I've typed whole lines of chat, only to discover nothing actually made it into the box because of the refresh thing… super-annoyingQuote:

Ive wanted a "show only online friends" for a long time :)
Would help alot when trying to see if your friend is online :P
