Preparatory steps for new content

Players asking for something and BB giving us something do not always equate to being the same thing, in the former we get to feel the measure of the playerbase's thoughts on the thing. Prior to us getting it I had not thought it was something BB would grant us so saw no need to argue against it. You may also recall that last time we had a concurrent "Special bonus week" with certain buildings having a bonus making it difficult for players to judge where some buildings needed to be placed for best long term effect.

Step one- feel enthusiastic about playing the game again, step two-have fun. that is all for me :) So glad i won`t quit the game, new content is coming right on time.

If BB decides do something like that, then do it not time based. Like premium time, just for free moving, all get 1 in mail, like 3 days free moving and use when he like. Then all players will be happy :D

Quite a good idea...
It would also be a nice addition to the star coin or even gem shop... a 1 day token that allows free building movement could be an initial gift from our BB friends then a purchasable item in the merchant perhaps.

You want free moving to save resources you don't want more of?
What about the inflation discussions? Do I need to remind some here?

Who doesn't want more coins?
To move a level 5 barracks is 1000gc... many people will likely want all their Barracks together.
To move EW Sawmills is 2500gc... people might want them near the Mahogany Sawmill and maybe EW Cutter/Forester if they build them.
To move high level Elite weapons chain (powderhut etc) is 3500gc per move.

Though people might well not move those exact buildings, many will be looking at moving some similar ones to group certain buildings together. Maybe they will like their powderhut near their Arquebus Maker, to make buffing easier, maybe they will want their stable(s) near their Elite Stables chain.
Not everyone is going to just build all the new buildings on the Archipelago.

Hence, to accommodate all these aesthetic moves in light of the information about new buildings, it would be nice if we did get some free movement.

Given such factors as the inflation that SmurfAsH mentions; the fact that the move building option is one of the few means by which gold coins are removed from the game entirely; the existence of gold towers, one of which was gifted to players of all levels during a past event; the high availability of x3 and x4 buffs that can be used to great effect on gold chains; the lag that was inherent for a good number of players during the last period of free movement; and the issues surrounding locked zones caused by buildings being moved too frequently that made a cool down timer temporarily necessary in the past, I believe the idea of another free movement period is ill-considered.

Well, that's ultimately what this game is about - maintain your island - so how about focus on playing the game instead of asking for "I win"-buttons?
