The game is up and running on all 3 servers. If you cant get in give more info on your problem.
Try the clear cache it might actually help this time.
if u cant get in the game try log out. clear cache then login again. Sometimes the browser will try loading from an old cache file. so if it does that it will still load the maint screen.
Damage not as bad as i thought. all wheatfields stone marble and iron were gone 1 gold mine gone. but still had all my coal and 4 copper mines running. only 1 buff had run out.
Lost a lot of res from colonies as wasnt able to collect every 6 hrs. login bonus was on day 4 so no loss there. Production of brew and bronze swords stopped cause i was maxed out. no iron bars as no iron ore to make more. But overall not too bad. was expecting a lot worse.
I've played this game for some years now and I enjoy it alot. I've been through and seen alot of downtime due to updates, maintenance, events that never seem to go according to plan. But I've never lost 2 whole days of not being able to log in (I do work 12hour shifts so there's some grace to BB there). Even so though, I believe this is a complete disgrace!!
as like many i lost the 2 login bonus tbh its not a big thing for me as can start it all over again and it was the gem day today on the login
only thing i forgot about was the upgrades my 7 days upgrades should been finished today but they still have 2 days to go as i forgot they stopped also
just happy whatever went wrong is now sorted as this is the 1st time in 6 yrs of playing i have known the game to be down so long due to something going wrong and as it was over the weekend i understand bb dont work at weekends so those that tried to fix it fair play to them as from what i seen on the fb page post it wasnt just tso that was broke but other games as well so they would been busy trying to sort all them out as well and try find out what went wrong
i know lots like me lost the login bonus and pinky ponk things and maybe like me had upgrades paused etc and lots want compo of some kind which knowing bb history they prob will give something im just happy they managed to sort whatever caused the prob in the first place and hopefully they know what might happen again in future and find a way to stop that happening possibly
Stuff happens, servers crash, updates need updating, bugs slip in, but surely a message along the lines of this would not go amiss on the login page?

I had problems with game and forum also - but could see other could get on - so tried clearing cache and cookies - then I could log in and forum was more stable also.Quote:

Couldnt give an answer on how long it would take as they didnt know what was causing the problem and were still investigating.
So we were being kept informed. But as the forum was also playing up they used facebook and twitter to give updates.
Thumps up to the BB staff. they worked hard to get everything up and running again and kept us informed of what was going on. No other game company ive used has done that.
Probably be a few days before we get compo. But again very few other browsers games give compo when something goes wrong.
Best support ive seen in any browser game and ive played hundreds over the years.
Cant moan about glitches and bugs in the game cause every game PC or browser has bugs and glitches in.
Cant keep all the players happy either. Moans and complaints when new stuff is added saying fix the problems before adding new content. then its we want new content were bored. Cant have it both ways. im sure BB try and fix bugs and glitches each time they do an update and try and bring in new content at the same time which usualy adds new bugs and glitches. I get that with PC games as well then have to wait months for a patch to fix them.
Stop moaning and complaining and thank the BB team for what they did the last few days to get the game up and running again as fast as they could. Must if been a nightmare having so many games down at the same time checking every server every connection every line of programming code trying to find the fault.
Would be nice to find out what the problem was though lol.
Seen quite a few people logging on this evening asking what on earth went on over the past two days. Many obviously had no clue of what had been said on Facebook/Twitter. I understand that even the BB staff couldn't access the site/forums while the outage was happening and were relying on those channels to get any sort of word out, for which I, for one, am very grateful.Quote:

No we were not kept informed! Facebook and twitter are useless if people dont even know they exist! Facebook is useless anyway since you have to be logged in to find TSO page.
Only instruction was to keep refreshing every few minutes. For all we know some poor sod did that all day.
Not upset about the actual downtime. Poop happens.
So, the game is unavailable Saturday, Sunday and most of Monday and now we have an update with no notice! I mean, considering the record of success in this area, I'm not brimming with confidence...
The information on face book was not that great either. Soon is not a very useful time frame. Not when there is then many hours of nothing.I dont know what happened but thinking we all gave our email for some reason. there was no maintenance, scheduled or otherwise. The game and many others run by BB and Ubisoft suffered a major outage. As they could not access the homepage or forum there was no way to inform anyone that way.Quote:

Maybe next time comunicate this upfront, as now we had players on forum saying that the game was back (for them) while others where still trying and not being able to get in, thinking they got trolled by the ones who could get in....

Yes someone seem to forget that if you are not told when a server is back on- or if you are told that it is back at a specific time, people wast their time trying and it cant surprise anyone that they get annoyed. Cant see any point in putting more info on maint page. I was not able to see that until Monday, many of us just got a blank white page. A mail would have been the best way to communicate the problem in the first place.

Just a thought but maybe all islands should stop instantly when maintenance is running or problems with the game, lost a high level salt mine cause couldn't log on to turn it off and islands didnt automatically stop until 24 hrs of inactivity.
Bad thing do happen, but I really hate it if they don't inform us 19 GMT 19-03 correctly about the fact that the update wasn't implemented yet...

there is links on the maint page for the twitter and facebook pages when the game is down.
Not sure about twitter as i dontuse it. But facebook did post a msgs at 22.00 sunday saying the game wont be up again till after the scheduled update on monday due to ciromstances beyond their control and they were still investigating the problem. So if they didnt know what the problem was they cant give a time frame for when the game will be fixed.
Saying they should of seen a problem before hand and fixed it the same as saying someone should of seen their car was going to breakdown before it did and fixed it. or u have fall down the stairs and say u should of seen that coming and avoided it.
Very few things in life show warning signs something is about to go wrong so as we cant travel into the future and see things breaking down we cant do anything about it till it happens.
