Server Newfoundland [Realm 1] seems very slow(laggy) at the moment. It takes a long time to switch from island to adventures and back.
Its just in general slow.

I agree with Tibster on this. The server has been really slow since it came back on from maintenance. It has just taken me 15 mins to buff 25 buildings as it crashed twice. and this was after I have cleared all cache and rebooted
I hope it is not going to be like this all week as I will run out of time on adventures at this rate.
Im experiencing the same problem , a lot lag since it came back on.
Yes its very slow, when you accept a trade, 20 sec after you get the report of acceptation.
Yes, it also slows generals from moving to the adventure, i sent a general and came back a hour later only to find the adventure lagged out and no general in sight, when it finally desided to load he was still 30 mins out
yep i second all of this, buffs being delayed when applied, showing greyed in start menu, trades accepted take an age to get to the warehouse, everything just that bit slower since maintenance this morning.
Seems a little better today, but the response time is til longer then it was before maintenance 16th of february 2012 imo
Bump this thread, slowness still there.
Today we experience extreme lags. My trades take 2-4 minutes to arrive and an adventure invitation took 7 minutes!
What is the reason for these lags? Is there a solution in sight or this is how the game will work from now on?
Today I have lost 15C and 25S to the lags, it is not possible to enjoy adventures. Is there a solution in sight? We are not even in the rush hours!
Trades are still slow, sending general to an adventure took 2 attempts yesterday, same as Dahlia. Buffing takes ages, or just does not work - another refresh/relog... Have also cleared cache, cookies etc.- and tried the game in 3 browsers (Chrome, FFox and Safari, all up to date etc etc). This game is the only thing affected - browsers and other downloads work fine... (And I'm not doing other downloads whilst playing the game...)
Yes, I can confirm it too, blocking is absolutely not working, so higher level adventures are really hard to play. Sending generals takes ages, and trade delay is about 1 min average. So I think we all would like to know if this problem is permanent from now on, or will the devs look into it...

Same here, figured it could be country or ISP related at first but thats not the case since all hops are resolved withing 15ms time and average ping to the server is decent with 14ms. It really is annoying though so some feedback from development would be appreciated. (getting items from mail takes about a minute..)

I'm a level 36 player,
I played a The Nords Adventure today and while as always using the attack/retreat commands and strategies, it took 31 seconds for the actions to perform after my click, which ended me up with losing 200cav, 200LB which is really annoying, I am spending time and money on this game, but losing data/pixels and in game facilities with real money and losing them because of the technical problems is so annoying. Of course these problems happen, but i request a compensation to all who have lost stuff because of the technical problems. As a person and a player, I'm so annoyed that I'm thinking of quiting the game if the support isn't reasonable enough to check the logs and compensate.

It's definitely better off peak - i.e. now late at night 11.47pm my time - its better, like normal before thursdays maintenance but all through the day it has been hell to play, so much so I have spent much of the day away from it just to stop getting frustrated - please fix this guys!! Will it be done thursday or can you do something earlier - please its really hard to play at the moment please.
half term is now over, hopefully that will take away some of the load. :)

can any 'officials' please respond... i want to know if this problem is going to be adressed and if so when because its starting to annoy the hell out of me and i'm getting really frustrated no 'officials' even bother to put their word in in this thread...

the last 3 days every evening the server static2.thesettlersonline.com is down or unreacable, guess its cause of load on the server, but that makes us not able to login to the game or anything on the frontpage.... this is really anoying
I just lost 80 soldiers, because of the lag, so this is ridiculous...:( I really think that we need some kind of compensation after this problem is solved, i hear everywhere how the higher level adventures are unplayable, not to speak of the delay in trade, and other mails. So please solve this problem!!!
Yesterday I've sent two of my generals back to the main island. They departed as usual, but today I have found them still in the adventure, in the landing zone. It seems that the problems are extremely serious!
My Battle-Hardened General disappeared for 10/15 minutes on his journey from the adventure ground back to the village - he has re-appeared now but is going to take 15 minutes to get back....
Also the lag is going to make it impossible for me to complete this adventure as I will need to retreat my general and the lag is so bad I won't be able to do it in time....
I have to report the same issues ... trades, blocking, geologist/explorer reports, buffs (not to mention friends buffs, which are taking 20-40s to show up), provision house and barracks queue and so on...everything is really slow from last maintanance and I have a strange feeling that it became much slower last few days. I too have lost some military because the retreat didn't come through.
It's becomming more and more annoying and as paying player, let say customer, like Handsomee and surely many others I have to ask what will be done?
Will there be any compensations (like free gems for example) or should we just quit the game and stop loosing time and money?

It is very sad if players must be confronted with these technical difficulties.
Especially for players who paid some money...rather i dont want to imagine how much moneys goes from beginning of this game to these days..great job Ubisoft , for game which seems very addictive but how be patient must we should be ? I dont regret the money which i paid...for game that i am playing few weeks and than quit because of so many problems...

I hope so like the rest of players (paying or free players) that these problems in future will not be so often....
Since last maintenance (Thursday 16 of February) are all game responses much slower, than i expect for serious gaming. Especialy if you want to do some battle strategy (e.g. atacking-blocking) it is almoust 100% sure, that you easily lost your troops. Please, do something for better playing. Thanks.
BB is investigating this and we hope to solve the issue by next week.

hmm, nowadays its getting less though
The lag is less now, but seems buffing, changing Garrison setting, accepting trade mails & explorer mails, moving items from star menu to mayor house and producing stuff and armies takes longer then it did before the maintenance 16th of feb.
to me it looks like the server "slowes" down when there is many ppl online..... early morning, late nite the loading is much faster
But i see positive progress in server performance so keep it up.

It load related im sure...the server cant handle max load on peek hours...
